Maxwell Highsmith, drove 5 hours straight through from Atlanta (after 22 hours on another project) to North Carolina where this was filmed. The Cast and crew held up production for 3 hours just so he could get some sleep. Maxwell arrived on-set, delivered for another 10 hours and drove off to another project in South Carolina.
Before the film, Maxwell Highsmith did not know who Elizabeth "Libba" Cotton was. After the film, Maxwell now sings the praises of "Libba" (to all his friends within and without the industry) as a pioneer who was ground-breaking in many ways
