As the frontman for the influential punk group The Clash, Joe Strummer’s rebellious attitude and political lyrics inspired and influenced an entire generation. Such is the premise of the new film “London Town,” a coming-of-age story about a kid who’s whole world is turned upside down by punk rock. One day, 14-year-old Shay (Daniel Huttlestone) receives a tape of The Clash from his estranged mother leading him on a path of self-discovery. He juggles familial responsibilities after his father (Dougray Scott) suffers an injury with a romance involving a young scenester Vivian (Nell Williams) and his burgeoning relationship with Strummer, played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
