Among the more noteworthy names emerging over the course of the 2016 festival season is Throttle. Following his Oliver Heldens collaboration, “Waiting,” the Australian DJ/producer has become a fixture of the festival circuit for his unique blend of house and disco.
Throttle, whose real name is Robbie Bergin, continued to defy norms when his latest track, “Money Maker,” was selected to be released through Spinnin’ Records. Being that it wasn’t a typical progressive house track, it makes for an unexpected departure for the label.
By the sound of things, Bergin does not intend to bend his style towards more mainstream genres, either. When we met up with him before his first ever set at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas a few weeks back, he spilled the beans on his long-term plans to incorporate live elements into his performances.
