Go for the Gross
Hitchcoc28 February 2023
Does anyone ever consider cost. On numerous occasions the Jeffersonian has to nickel and dime because of strict budgets. Yet Brennan can have an entire septic tank, dug up, put on some transport, and brought into the lab. This is for a single case. Then hundreds of man (and woman) hours are invested. And with all the murders in the DC area, which ones end up here. I'm not complaining. I really like the show, but it seems to be the elephant in the room. This case involves a repo man who ends up in a septic system. The new guy, who looks interesting, is forced by Brennan (his superior) to go diving for parts in the grossest of the gross stuff. I also notice that everyone seems perfectly calm about the stench. We have the B part which is the guy who is a Cuban defector and Christine's venture into organized religion.

Lacks a B Plot

Warning: Spoilers
This was an okay episode of Bones best definitely nothing special.

I just wish there was a better B plot this week other than Dr. Fuentes or whether Christine should go to church. On top of that, I don't think the case was all that interesting. In fact, it was one of the nastier bodies just because of where it was found. When Bones made Fuentes go into the septic tank I was so disgusted.

At least we got a sweet moment between Bones and Booth where she told him that she needs him to survive. I loved that she said they were bound to one another. Overall super cute moments between them.

This episode is super forgettable but we still got some fun characters so 7/10.

Best part: Booth's t-Rex impression at the end of the episode, made me laugh out loud

Worst part: Fuentes crawling in the septic tank, so so gross.

Bones needs to chill out

One issue I have had with Dr Brennan is she is way too antagonistic. As far as at work, she would be considered a toxic boss in real life. The Jeffersonian would be getting sued all the time over how toxic she can be towards her interns and other people she works with. She acts like she is everybody's boss. In terms of her personal life, she has always been antagonistic towards religion. I would have thought once her and Booth got together she would have been more accepting of Booth's beliefs but it is like she always has to mock his faith. She is married to a devout Catholic who wants their daughter brought up in The Church to expose her to his faith and allow her to eventally decide what she believes in and Bones is very much opposed to that. She needs to learn to compromise and not always have to have her own way. She needs to be more respectful of her husbands beliefs instead of always mocking his faith as if it is a joke. In reality, this would put them in couples therapy and the therapist would tell her she needs to be more respectful and not resort to mocking her husbands faith and learn to make compromises. If she refuses, Booth would be well within his rights to divorce her and sue for custody as she is very verbally and emotionally abusive.

What problem does this series have with Latin America?
thosnod31 August 2022
What problem does this series have with Latin America? Really? An Argentine actor playing a Cuban character doing things of a person from Argentina. Once again using stereotypes of life in a country and the homogeneous behavior of any person who was born in the south of the USA. There are no different cultures, ways of behaving or anything more than a conglomerate of countries that understand each other as if they were just one. The worst, that the new character will return in other episodes. I will never understand this. My only hope is that it doesn't have a very developed plot and doesn't appear on screen much.
