- Based on the Book of Revelations, a devout and merciless killer seeks to obtain the soul he believes he was born without by taking the "senses" of his victims. The countdown has begun for 2 detectives to save 6 innocent lives.
- Megan and her partner Jake are two Chicago detectives that begin to track a serial killer targeting women. The ritual killings are performed with haunting references to the Book of Revelations. Taken out of context, these biblical chapters expose the depth and fury of God's wrath. Yet, they also contain powerful prophecies that integrate into one overwhelming story, much like the killer's own history. As a young boy, he was repeatedly punished for being born without a soul. He was taught the soulless are not worthy of God, but in turn belong to the devil. His only hope to escape this heretic prophecy is to recreate his soul. To be a devout believer and prove his love of God, the killer's chilling plan begins to unfold. Much like the Book of Revelations, the killings are dripping in symbolism. Megan and Jake are only steps behind the killer, finding each of women's bodies still warm, with the number "6" carved into their foreheads. In addition to their lives, the killer also tears away one of their senses: to hear, taste, smell, feel and see. Megan must reconcile the theological meaning behind the sadistic murders juxtapose the child like drawings discovered at the crime scenes. In these hand drawn depictions, the angels themselves lack senses: no eyes, ears, hands, nose, or mouth. To stop this sanctimonious killer, Megan must first get inside his head and understand why. Why is he carving a "6", why is he killing these women, why is he collecting their senses and what is his goal? The merciless killer continues to allude Megan and Jake until he needs his sixth and final victim to make himself whole. Soon Megan and Jake find themselves at the center of the killer's obsession and their lives being to unravel. Surrounded by deception and lies, Megan and Jake are ripped apart. Megan is tormented and seemingly taunted by the killer. He's watching her and she knows it. Even though the killer finds no pleasure in her anguish and pain, these experiences are necessary parts of his prophecy, bringing them closer together and helping him to recreate his soul.—De Cooper
