Exclusive: The Francis Lawrence-directed feature adaptation of the Suzanne Collins prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has added 11 actors in its final casting round.
This includes Tony Award nominee Fionnula Flanagan, who’ll play Grandma’am, young Coriolanus Snow’s (Tom Blyth) strict grandmother. Years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, the 18-year-old is the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that has fallen from grace in a postwar Capitol. With the 10th annual Hunger Games fast approaching, the young Snow is alarmed when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), the girl tribute from impoverished District 12. But, after Lucy Gray commands all of Panem’s attention by defiantly singing during the reaping ceremony, Snow thinks he might be able to turn the odds in their favor. Variety reveals that newcomer Letitia Wright has joined the cast of Black Panther. She joins a cast made up of names like Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira, but who exactly will she be playing? Well, the trade says, "Wright will play the mystery role of Serita, who’s part of the Wakanda community." Before you go checking on Google, there's no sign of a character from the comic books with that name, so could she be playing someone else? It's certainly possible, and it's worth noting that Wright bears quite a resemblance to the younger sister of T'Challa, Shuri. As you'll likely already know, she ineherited the Black Panther mantle for a time. The actress has appeared in British TV shows like Doctor Who and Chasing Shadows, but Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One looks set to be hero breakout role. Wright...

Ryan Coogler’s already impressive Black Panther cast continues to expand today with the addition of up-and-coming Ready Player One actress Letitia Wright, who will take on the role of Serita.
I’m not that well versed on Black Panther‘s supporting characters, but as far as I know Serita is not a main player in the Marvel comics lore. Variety, who broke the story, don’t offer any other details, though they do confirm that she’s a Wakandan. It may turn out that Serita is a member of the Royal Family, but then again, it’s just as likely that she’ll be allied with T’Challa’s mortal enemy, Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan).
22-year-old British actress Letitia Wright got her big break when she beat out stiff competition for a key role in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Ready Player One, but she may also be...

The world of Doctor Who has changed greatly in the space of just 10 years. The cast and crew have almost completely been replaced since 2005, including a number of new actors to play the errant Time Lord and his companions.
But what has happened to the class of '05? Where are Rose and Mickey now? What is the writer of 'Dalek' up to? And where can you see more work from the director of 'Rose'?
Here it is then, your guide to the main players of Doctor Who series one.
The Cast
After his three-month on-screen stint as the Doctor, Christopher Eccleston's career continued in much the same vein, taking in theatre, interesting television roles and the odd blockbuster.
Post-2005, the Northern actor went Stateside to take on the role of invisible man Claude in the Us series Heroes. From there, he popped up in a very amusing Doctor Who-esque cameo as Dr.

A glittering purple unicorn landed smack in the middle of American Idol‘s Season 14 New Orleans audition stop — which in no way suggests that the show’s producers surprised us with a special return appearance by Nicki Minaj at the judges’ table. Noel Clarke and Reece Shearsmith have explained how Chasing Shadows is different to just "another" police procedural.
League of Gentleman actor and writer Shearsmith will lead the cast of ITV's new four-part thriller, which focuses on a missing persons field unit tracking down serial killers who pick out vulnerable people.
Shearsmith plays DS Sean Stone, a socially-awkward but brilliant detective with an obsession for figuring out codes and patterns that lead to solving crimes.
Describing Sean as someone who is "rude" and "doesn't care" about social etiquette when solving crimes, Shearsmith said that he was initially wary about joining a new by-the-numbers police procedural drama.
"It feels like [a drama] that would hook you in as an interesting TV experience – not just your normal police procedural," he told Digital Spy and other reporters.
"Because that was the danger I thought about doing it right from the start, I was like, 'am I just doing another one?...

Reece Shearsmith has admitted he found playing his role in Chasing Shadows a challenge.
Shearsmith, who plays autistic detective Sean Stone in the upcoming ITV crime drama, said it was hard not to use eye contact when acting, reports What's On TV.
He said: "Sean was a hard character to play because I was robbed of all the usual devices when you act a scene - looking someone in the eyes, connecting.
"One of the traits of autism is that they rarely look people in the eye. To never look anyone in the eye was really awkward. But this is not Rain Man. It's much subtler than that."
Shearsmith also said that he believes Sean is a character with some flaws, but he makes up for them with "a great, quick mind".
"Sean can be rude and blunt. There's no reason for him to do the niceties," he said.
