After the showdown with the alien forces, the humans look for survivors under the debris. Hal finds Maggie, who is paralyzed below her neck, under a beam. Cochise teaches Anne how transfer Deni's fluid to Maggie to see if she recovers her movements. Hal lies to Anne telling that Maggie has authorized the procedure. Tom and Dingaan are in a small space under the concrete. Meanwhile, Lexi wearing the red hood shows Ben a warehouse with humans being harnessed. Ben escapes and return home. When he sees Maggie very weak on the operation table, he suggests Anne to remove a few spikes from him and implant in Maggie and Cochise lends a Volm equipment to her. Tom blows up the Espheni's spacecraft and releases Dingaan and him, reuniting with his family.
"A Thing with Feathers" is an episode of "Falling Skies" where there is a return to the original storyline, after the mistaken mystic storyline. Maggie recovered is excellent but the loss of Dr. Kadar, Bennett and the sniper Tector is a great loss to the series. My vote is seven.
