- Kelly Severide: You guys all right? Any injuries? Hey, Casey, you okay?
- Matthew Casey: Mouch is hurt. Oh, hell. This is bad.
- Kelly Severide: Otis, you okay?
- Brian Zvonecek: Yeah, but Mouch is bleeding!
- Kelly Severide: Mouch, talk to me.
- Randall McHolland: It's my eye. It hit something. Door frame, I don't know.
- Kelly Severide: Let me see, bud. All right, don't worry. We're gonna take care of you. Herrmann, grab your jump bag. Newhouse, go down, put pressure on that.
- Rick Newhouse: Copy.
- Joe Cruz: [en route to a structure fire] I can already see the smoke, boys. Looks like it's rolling.
- Christopher Herrmann: [sees Truck 66 parallel to them] Oh, boy. Hey, Casey, we're neck-and-neck with your old pal Welch.
- Joe Cruz: Don't worry, Casey, I got this.
- Matthew Casey: I'm not interested in a pissing contest. If Welch wants this fire, he can have it. Cruz, forget him. Just drive the truck.
- Brian Zvonecek: Great. Welch is gonna get there first. We'll be taking orders from him.
- Christopher Herrmann: [Truck 66 seemingly disappeared] Ah, I don't see 'em. Maybe they got held up.
- Matthew Casey: See? It all works out in the end...
- [Truck 66 comes out of nowhere and t-bones Truck 81]
- Gabriela Dawson: [Mouch's left eye is bleeding profusely] Oh my God.
- Randall McHolland: I know, I know.
- Tony: Whoa, Severide!
- Kelly Severide: Mayday! Mayday! This is Squad 3 to Main! Truck 81 and Truck 66 have collided on the corner of 24th and Wabash. We're gonna need ambulances! As many as you can get! This is bad!
- Sylvie Brett: Oh, Dawson, that's, like, five blocks back. What do we do?
- Gabriela Dawson: 61 to Main. Uh, we're closer to the accident than we are to the fire. Do you want us to take the accident instead?
- Main: Stand by, 61.
- Sylvie Brett: Should I keep driving?
- Main: Affirmative, 61. Take in the accident.
- Gabriela Dawson: Okay, turn around! Go, go, go, go, go!
- Kelly Severide: [about Truck 66] What do we got?
- Peter Mills: We got a whole lot of injuries. Driver's not responding. He's pinned in there pretty bad.
- Joe Cruz: Put me to work, Lieutenant.
- Matthew Casey: Grab a side.
- Joe Cruz: What about the fire?
- Matthew Casey: They're dispatching more companies. Don't worry about the fire.
- Sylvie Brett: Mouch, what happened? Let me have a look.
- Randall McHolland: I can't see. Aw, jeez, I can't see!
- Joe Cruz: I don't know what happened. He came out of nowhere.
- Sylvie Brett: Cruz, are you okay? Why don't you sit?
- Tommy Welch: Watch his arm. You're too close.
- Kelly Severide: I see his arm. I got it. All right, Mills, go ahead.
- [Mills loses his balance and falls from the roof of Truck 66]
- Kelly Severide: Mills! Mills, hey! Mills! Damn it! What the hell happened, man?
- Peter Mills: I don't know. I just, I wasn't paying attention.
- Kelly Severide: Capp, you relieve Mills on the roof. Mills, you take a breather.
- Peter Mills: No, no, I got it. Let's do it!
- Tommy Welch: Can't you do anything right?
- Matthew Casey: Hey!
- Tommy Welch: I got a guy dying here!
- Matthew Casey: Hey, they're giving it their all, Welch. They're trying like hell.
- Tommy Welch: That's my best friend in there.
- Matthew Casey: Yeah, I know. We're gonna get him out.
- Wallace Boden: Casey.
- Matthew Casey: Yeah.
- Wallace Boden: Are your men okay?
- Matthew Casey: All but Mouch. His eye's messed up. Dawson's taking him to Chicago Med.
- Wallace Boden: Is it serious?
- Matthew Casey: I don't know. He's alive. He's in one piece. I'm just thankful for that.
- Wallace Boden: What about Molina?
- Matthew Casey: He's non-responsive, losing blood, his legs are crushed.
- Wallace Boden: Cruz. What happened?
- Joe Cruz: I don't know, Chief. They came out of nowhere.
- Chief Joel Tiberg: Who had the light?
- Joe Cruz: We did.
- Chief Joel Tiberg: You sure?
- Joe Cruz: If it wasn't green, then it was yellow. There's no way it was red.
- Chief Joel Tiberg: You don't know what color it was?
- Wallace Boden: Cruz, did you see the light?
- Joe Cruz: I must've. I know I did. Chief, it just all happened like that.
- Christopher Herrmann: [about Truck 66] I guess they were trying to cut across from Michigan, but they had to know we were coming up Wabash, right?
- Kelly Severide: Either way, they got to slow down and have a look. Everybody knows that.
- Rick Newhouse: Unless they had the green.
- Christopher Herrmann: Please, they did not have the green. What the hell, Newhouse?
- Capp: Are the cops still all over Cruz?
- Brian Zvonecek: Yeah, now they're demanding piss and blood.
- Christopher Herrmann: Standard procedure.
- Brian Zvonecek: Is that Molina's wife?
- Christopher Herrmann: Poor kid.
- Matthew Casey: I'm not denying there's been some bad blood between Leiutenant Welch and myself, but it didn't play a role in this accident-- not on our end, anyway.
- Wallace Boden: Are you sure 81 had the right of way?
- Matthew Casey: I didn't see the light myself, but I trust Joe Cruz implicitly.
- Chief Joel Tiberg: Even though he doesn't remember seeing the light either?
- Matthew Casey: If the light was red, he'd have come to a controlled stop. He's good at his job.
- Wallace Boden: Here's the problem, Casey. The cops still haven't found a credible eyewitness. There was no traffic cam at that intersection.
- Chief Joel Tiberg: And of the two drivers involved, one can't remember what color the light was and one might not live through the night.
- Matthew Casey: I stand by Joe Cruz.
- Wallace Boden: That's all for now.
- Kelly Severide: Hey
- Peter Mills: Hey, what's up?
- Kelly Severide: Pretty nasty spill you had back there. What happened?
- Peter Mills: Yeah, just got sloppy, I guess.
- Kelly Severide: You don't get sloppy, Mills.
- Peter Mills: It's nothing. I, um, I'm getting dizzy.
- Kelly Severide: Since when?
- Peter Mills: Since the building collapse, I guess. It's all those pain meds from my leg. It's just taking a while to go away.
- Kelly Severide: Go see a doctor.
- Peter Mills: Yeah, I will if it doesn't clear up soon...
- Kelly Severide: Before next shift.
- Matthew Casey: We should have a spare truck here from the shop pretty soon.
- Joe Cruz: That old beast with a bad clutch?
- Christopher Herrmann: We gonna get anybody to fill in for Mouch?
- Wallace Boden: I'm rehiring the whole crew. You guys are done with your shift.
- Matthew Casey: Chief, that's not necessary.
- Wallace Boden: You've been rattled. Go home and rest.
- Matthew Casey: Listen, you should go.
- Joe Cruz: What? No. I got every right to be here. If I leave now, I'll look guilty.
- Matthew Casey: No. You'll look like the bigger man.
