Same Ol' Same Ol' just better
trueslayor31 January 2017
The reason behind my summary above is that there is nothing new here, no ground breaking paranormal discoveries or experiments just another guy who "wants to experience the world of ghosts and find out if its true", now you would think he could go to one of the other dozen documentaries and find out there instead of going down the same well worn highway- but hey when you aspire to be a film maker then....However with that said this is better done with more effort and more passion than others I have seen (as demonstrated by the reviews which are pretty good)though it could be longer, this is solid work by first time filmmaker and if you love the genre then you wont be disappointed, rent it.. if you dare (scary laugh in the back ground).

Nothing really new

Basically the same hang out in the dark, get chills ghost stuff. I don't know about you, but sitting in the dark in some old damp place, of course, you're going to hear things, get goose bumps, get freaked out. Try it.

Michael, the "skeptical" director tries so very hard but achieves virtually nothing. That being said, there is the one actually interesting occurrence towards the end of the film. Now was that faked somehow? Who really knows, it does seem to be the focal point of the director's evidence. If the filmmaker was being honest, it was of interest, but since it could not be reproduced, nothing more than anecdotal.

If I had the money to visit so-called haunted places, I would do so in the light of day always. Why do you need to freak yourself out in the dark?

Want me to believe in ghosts? Hire me, along with others that are true skeptics, take us to these places during daylight with all you "scientific" gear, and honestly edit our responses. Now THAT would be something interesting.

(well probably not)

Mindless, unoriginal dribble

Even in 2014, ghost hunting was mainstream and everyone under 80 already knew everything that this filmmaker chose to drone on and on (and on) about... Almost immediately, you know this is going to suck...when the opening clip asks "do ghosts exist?" And the response is "what IS a ghost?" *Hint, that is the type of response given every time someone is trying to avoid an answer* Next, the narrator decides to list every single person involved in the movie, one of which is named "Big E" (no scientific breakthroughs were ever performed by someone named "Big E". Also, why do you force us to listen to 2 minutes of listing cast members, then immediately list them all one by one in the next scene? Also, we could have done without each cast member listing adjectives THEY believe describe them. The entire "movie" was incredibly amateurish, poorly filmed, and narrated with a god-awful Wisconsin accent. There was nothing about this film that I enjoyed. The techniques used were overly simplistic, the cast was unattractive, and the entire thing was unappealing. These were amateurs, portraying themselves as self-proclaimed "experts" who jumped at every shadow and found "evidence" in everything they could justify to themselves. Every creak was a "spirit" and every flash of light in photos were spectral eyes. It's been my experience that ghost hunters typically fall into two types, those who NEVER find evidence and those who ALWAYS find evidence, this crew definitely falls into the later. All-in-all, this is definitely one of those Amazon prime movies that exists only to serve as a filler, so they may boast the quantity of their library. It's not worth the time or effort it takes to watch this movie. Avoid it!
