This is the worst representation of my career choice. I have been in EMS for 7 years. I am a paramedic in two states, and this show makes me upset and feel disrespected. This show represents the service with people who are attempting to explain calls using no appropriate terminology, and then displays them as useless idiots on calls. In fact one call resulted in the "EMTs" playing tag with a patient's son while their patient drove away against medical advice, oh and this patient was in active labor and they basically watched her husband assist her to the car and drive away with no protest. THIS SHOW IS A DISGRACE TO THE PROFESSION AND DESERVES TO BE IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED.

The way these calls are portrayed is totally inaccurate. There is absolutely no professionalism displayed on this show and it gives EMTs a negative image. Every single so called EMS call portrayed is ridiculous. A man who has a testicular injury being examined in front of two other people?! Privacy breach anyone?? A woman who is in active labour being allowed to just wander off with her husband to drive her to the hospital without offering transport to another facility?! A woman being trapped under her boyfriend... why was rescue not automatically dispatched for a call where the person is pinned.. EMTs definitely are not trained for extrication... Either the EMTs who gave these stories to the show are totally incompetent, or the directors of the show are trying to make them appear that way.
