Warning: Spoilers
With the exception of Daphne's storyline, this episode really looks into how to continue to develop characters we have known for years; as well as ask: where can we go with them? After all, college is around the corner and Gallaudet is nowhere near Kansas, nor is North Western. But while there are questions about what may happen to college bound cast members, there is also a need to ask what will be done with those left behind? Well, we are given an idea.

Topic 1: The Blind Side 2 - Toby

Despite Sheree's inconsistent appearances since the show returned, it seems she hasn't been forgotten. For with college around the corner, her former coach Toby decides to check in only to learn his star player is failing English. Which just so happens to be taught by Toby's neighbor Lucy. So, being that Toby is the Sandra Bullock of the scenario, he tries to talk directly to Lucy about giving Sheree a chance. Something which she isn't for since she doesn't like the idea of babying Sheree, and being that Toby doesn't like her answer, and has connections, he goes over her head and forces the situation.

Something you'd think would lead to fighting more than anything, but what ends up happening is their relationship gets a jolt in the pants. Leading to not just the two of them making out, but also them having sex. Which I found to happen a bit fast, and surely under weird circumstances, but with how crappy a character Toby is you can't expect proper development at all. Thankfully though, while he is but a non- cancerous mole on the show, he does help Sheree get the opportunity to retake her test.

Topic 2: Redemption - Bay

If Karma is a bitch, she must really not like Bay right now. For not only does she not have a college to go to in the fall, and her dad just died, but now she has to worry about having an aneurysm. Something which, considering all the stress she is under, seems like something she needs to take care of. But, being that Bay doesn't want to fully acknowledge she can die so young, she wishes to ignore it. For what reason exactly? Well, to hang out with Tank. Why? Well, with her pretty much sending his life into a downward spiral she wants to make amends. Unfortunately for her though, part of making amends not only deals with her having to deal with him sticking around, but her living up to the whole being friends thing. Which, despite the tone, is something she honestly wants. Even to the point of accompanying Tank when his dad comes to visit and, unfortunately, pretending to still be his girlfriend.

Thankfully though, all the lies are resolved and while things end badly for Tank, at least we don't have to deal with the two of them keeping up appearances right? Well, with ABC Family's love for a good love triangle there are hints that Tank may reenter the race for Bay's heart, and I am hoping the writers are just trolling. For it has already been established Tank is not Bay's type, and honestly the dude should have been written off after they were done. At this point, like his roommate Toby, he seems like someone strictly kept around because he has a contract. Not because he adds to the story, or is even interesting, but simply because legally, and financially, it just isn't advantageous to just get rid of them.

Topic 3: I Got a Thing for Bad Boys - Daphne

In the episode Daphne reminds us she is on probation and with that it makes me wonder why is she acting like such a fool? She has the financial privileges which comes from being John and Kathryn's daughter, she is smart, and yet anytime something big happens she decides to go off the deep end. To the point I feel convinced that the more likable Bay becomes the less Daphne is allowed to be.

Though perhaps there is no bigger issue when it comes to Daphne than her pattern of liking bad boys. For while you may have thought Jace was bad enough, now Nacho seems to have become her boyfriend. For with their mutual hatred of what the East Riverside Project has done to their lives, they decide to ruin the breaking ground ceremony, making it seem the project is done until Chip Coto saves the day! And with her seeing Regina and Chip shake hands, it maybe safe to assume her North Western antics were just a warm up for something which likely will threaten her probation.

Which leads me to say that while I recognize getting worked up over her story is technically a good thing, at the same time as you watch Travis struggle with his life, and see Regina still trying to mend her relationship with Daphne, it almost makes me hope Daphne does end up going to jail. Not only because she needs to be seriously punished, but it could make for a few good stories.
