Veteran Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha, who is known for films such as ‘Kaala Patthar’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Yudh’ and several others, recently shared the story behind the scar on his face which at one point had a fan following of its own.
The senior actor recently appeared on chat show ‘The Invincibles’ hosted by Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan and revealed that the scar is from a childhood injury. He said: “I was very naughty during my childhood. One day, I saw my uncle shaving his face. Then to imitate him, I too ran a razor across my face when I was a child.”
He continued: “First my uncle’s daughter tried, she cut her cheek and started crying. I then told her, ‘Tumko nahi aata hai, main tumhe dikhaata hoon kaise karte hain‘ (let me show you how it’s done since you know nothing). Then I went ahead to cut my own cheek.

What is Section 84? As per a digital repository of all Central and State Acts ‘Section 84’ deals with ‘Act of a person of unsound mind’, and states that ‘Nothing is an offence which is done by a person who, at the time of doing it, by reason of unsoundness of mind, is incapable of knowing the nature of the act, or that he is doing what is either wrong or contrary to law.’
In the recent past, Amitabh Bachchan was seen in quite a few films in roles related to law. In Runway 34, Chehre, Badla, but it is Pink that immediately comes to mind for the topic that the film tackled and the way it was presented. One wonders, in Section 84, which side of law would Amitabh Bachchan’s character stand. Whichever, it would be, but he stands tall.
Director Ribhu Dasgupta expresses, “I feel happy, blessed, and honoured to collaborate with Sir again.

Indian cinema legend Amitabh Bachchan will headline Ribhu Dasgupta’s courtroom drama thriller “Section 84.”
The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar and Saraswati Entertainment in association with Jio Studios.
This film will mark Bachchan and Dasgupta’s third collaboration after the critical success of Sony Entertainment Television India’s 2014 miniseries “Yudh” and 2016 film “Te3n.”
Bachchan’s last release was Sooraj Barjatya’s “Uunchai,” one of the few box office hits in a 2022 that was otherwise dull for Bollywood.
Reliance Entertainment has been active in the distribution space recently, releasing Steven Spielberg’s Oscar contender “The Fabelmans” in India, which it also coproduced, and striking a deal for the international distribution of “Faraaz,” “Bheed” and “Afwaah” with T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks.
Dasgupta said: “I feel happy, blessed and honored to collaborate with Sir [Bachchan] again. Looking forward to it.”

In imagining a world where Gandhi and his killer learned to get along, Rajkumar Santoshi simplifies differences that remain perilous for India
On 30 January 1948, Mahatma Gandhi’s murder at the hands of Hindu nationalist Nathuram Godse sent shockwaves through the still nascent democracy of India. Reimagining an alternative reality where Gandhi survives the attack, Rajkumar Santoshi’s latest film purports to offer an unbiased debate of the conflicting ideologies between the non-violence advocate and his killer. Such a premise is already attracting its share of controversy: with the rise of Hindutva-inspired violence, many fear that the film is yet another attempt to reclaim Godse’s image as a patriot.
Despite being surrounded by such fervent discourse, Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh is, at the end of the day, a mediocre effort. Deepak Antani’s Gandhi and Chinmay Mandlekar’s Godse do share a startling resemblance with the real historical figures, but...

It has been a journey where Jackie, 64, has taken the rough with the smooth. Has the thought of losing stardom ever scared him?
"Nothing. No fear. If god has got you here he has made a position and will take you somewhere. If the almighty has got you from...

Anurag Kashyap may have his issues with the censor board-what with his production Udta Punjab and directorial venture Raman Raghav 2:0 both awaiting censor clearance. But his colleague and associate Ribhu Dasgputa who helmed the TV series Yudh which Kashyap produced, has sailed through censor board unscathed with his first feature film Te3n. A source from the censor board says, "We viewed the film and found it powerful and relevant. The content is hard hitting, yes. And because the theme is crime and investigation a UA certificate was warranted. But to cut even a single moment would have harmed the film." Much relieved and happy director Ribhu Dasgupta says, "As filmmakers our intention is always to make the best of films. And while we make a film we never think of how the censor board will react to it. We do what is best for the film. But now after...

After Lakshya, Amitabh Bachchan will be teaming up with Farhan Akhtar once again for their next but this time around, unlike their previous venture, Farhan will be seen sharing screen space with the legendary star. The film in question has been titled Do and the film will also have Aditi Rao Hydari playing the female lead.
Prior to this, it was Kareena Kapoor who was approached for the role. In fact, then, Farhan Akhtar was supposedly doing yet another film with Kareena which was Dev Benegal's Bombay Samurai. However, it seems that the deal did not work out and later, Aditi's name was announced as the leading lady. While Aditi Rao Hydari has worked with Abhishek Bachchan previously in Delhi 6, this will be the first time that she will be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.

If all had gone well Amitabh Bachchan and Sarika would have been seen together four years ago in a film called Shoebite, a.k.a Johnny Walker. Due to a production dispute, Shoebite got shelved. It was Shoojit Sircar's ardent wish to bring this untried pair together. Shoojit finally got a chance to do so in the serial Yudh of which he is the creative supervisor. Insiders insist that when a screen wife was being considered for Amitabh Bachchan, names like Deepti Naval and Nafisa Ali came up. It was Shoojit who insisted on Sarika doing the role. Says a source, "It was Shoojit Sircar who convinced Sarika to do the show. He is the creative consultant over the project." Shoojit says more than him it is Amitabh Bachchan who supervised the proceedings during the shooting of Yudh. "Mr Bachchan's years of experience came in handy for all of us.
