A very human climax between a Father & misunderstood daughter.

Warning: Spoilers
This was actually a great episode. Tom has this amazing dynamic with Alexi where she understands being human. Spoilers, she also makes an incredible sacrifice.

However, what bothers me about this episode isn't the episode itself. What bothers me is the reviewers that obviously don't understand how gravity works. I absolutely love the dynamic between Tom & Lexi.

I also love the scientific background for this episode. If a species can manipulate gravity in such a way (which they can, as previously explained with Lexi's trials) they can travel immense spaces, they can also create artificial gravity on their ships quite easily.

Trip to the Moon

Lexi arrives in the camp raising tension among the survivors and she wants to apologize since she learnt that the Espheni are the enemy, but Tom and the survivors do not trust her. Lexi discuss with Anne that she may pilot the Beamer and that she is the best chance of success in the mission of destroying the Espheni power core. Weaver and Anne tell Tom about Lexi's proposal of flying in the mission and Tom agrees. Hal gives to Tom an Espheni poison to use if Lexi betrays him. Soon Lexi and Tom travel to the moon, but the spaceship is getting colder due to a breech in the hull. Lexi builds a cocoon to protect Tom and he has a perfect journey.

"Space Oddity" is a filler episode of "Falling Skies". The trip to the moon of Lexi and Tom is only reasonable. My vote is six.

Does Nurse Perfect Hair remember that when she yells at her daughter "You betrayed all of that", she talking to A THREE-YEAR OLD? Or has everyone forgotten how fast that girl grew up? Also (c)... gravity doesn't work... in vacuum?! How about add a bit of sci to this fi?

Saccharine overrides reality

Warning: Spoilers
Besides just being a filler episode that is supposed to develop the relationship between Tom Mason and his "daughter," this is also indicative of a pervasive problem in most mediocre TV writing - using "love and family" as some deus ex machina that can solve everything. Lexi literally committed a murder, in addition to killing dozens more, which could at least be justified in the name of war, but everyone just seems to forget that she committed cold blooded murder because "she is their sister or daughter." What kind of writer is so detached from humanity that they think this type of redemption is actually something 1) possible or 2) palatable to viewers? Oh, and they also flew into space, but that was completely irrelevant to the father-murderous-psychopathic daughter redemption arc. A bit too much, if I may, "try hard" to make it all fit.

more dumb writing.

In this episode they forget their daughter is 3 years old. They forget that all 3 of their sons have lied and betrayed them. They forget that Nurse Perfect also did the same.

They also contradict the part where Shaq and Cochise have their own mission. We find out they don't in this one... So where have they been for 4 episodes?

So weird. More examples of writers being rubbish at their job.
