Chelsea takes her dog for a walk
wtucker-3685614 March 2021
Chelsea, Chelsea. As you might imagine, this film is about Chelsea. The problem is, Chelsea isn't doing much of anything except taking her dog Ringo to the dog park. In between walking the dog she makes a bunch of bad decisions, has no real plan for her life, doesn't come up with one, so goes and walks the dog some more. Sometimes funny, sometimes awkward, it is well acted but goes no where except back to the dog park. 4.5 stars.

Chelsea, nothing more...nothing less.

Warning: Spoilers
This film had such great potential, but fell short...really bad. Basically you're watching the world pass you by through Chelsea's eyes. Your best friend and roommate gets engaged and moves out. You struggle with finding a new roommate. You have a job you hate and a boss that's a jerk from hell. Oh and you go to this dog park...every damn day. As boring as this film sounds (and yes it was), I couldn't stop watching. The acting is actually great, it's the story line and introduction of a the few characters that seem pointless. I really did connect with Chelsea though because her life and the character herself are relatable, but the whole movie just left me wanting more. Too many scenes that seemed to be setting the audience up for some sort of direction but in the end, this movie goes nowhere.

Heartening Film About Finding One's Way
sarah-ponder18 December 2017
This film explores a young woman's experience of finding her way in life while other people seem to have everything figured out. The story is beautiful, subtle, humorous realistic and compassionate.

It is particularly interesting because the movie doesn't offer any concrete solution other than suggesting that people have to carry on regardless of changes or circumstances beyond their control. Somehow, within that that journey, there is still a quiet sense of hope.
