Sex & Nudity

  • A man and a woman have sex in a car. Brief with no nudity, and is played somewhat for laughs.
  • An attempted rape, it is stopped in the nick of time.
  • A man suggestively strokes his wife's legs as she is driving. Not graphic in the slightest.
  • Two characters kiss and undress, but are cut short by someone at the door.
  • Several episodes revolve around paedophiles, and their online conversations with minors.

Violence & Gore

  • The show contains violence and gore.
  • A man is run over by a large truck, crushing his head and hands. Not gory, but quite sudden.
  • A man is fatally injured in a car crash. No onscreen blood other than a nosebleed, but the implications are quite gory.
  • Several times, we see a video feed of a man being shot twice. The footage is grainy and the scenes are brief and bloodless.
  • A woman is hit over the head with a studio microphone. She is briefly knocked unconscious and her face is covered in blood.
  • A man's arm is broken falling down a flight of stairs, we hear a snapping noise as he falls.
  • A man tackles another man and is stabbed in the stomach twice.
  • Infrequent fistfights and scuffles between police and suspects.
  • Several characters, one who has died, are shown with bloody stitches from organ removal.
  • A man's throat is partially slit, leaving a bleeding wound.
  • There is a church bombing, endangering main characters and killing innocents, one dead man is seen with a metal sign driven into his head.
  • A woman hangs herself.
  • A man is stabbed with 2 knives, destroying his kidneys and killing him.
  • A man is pushed headfirst into a whirling blade which kills him instantly, with a lot of blood spray.
  • Children die in a fire while police are outside unable to get in to save them.

Profanity

  • 4 F-words within the first 6 minutes.
  • Frequent profanity, mostly "fuck," "shite" and their various derivatives.
  • Infrequent use of slurs pertaining to muslims and disabled people.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A van full of men smoke several joints.
  • A moderate amount of social drinking and cigarette smoking.
  • During a raid in a drug lab, a wood column is toppled, smashing all of the lab equipment and releasing gas into the air. Nobody is hurt, but several main characters are left very high and stumbling around. Intense but ultimately played for laughs.
  • A cocaine fueled accident is featured prominently in one episode, although neither the accident nor the drugs are shown onscreen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While the show is primarily centered around police work and questioning, there are usually one or two bloody injuries or crime scenes per episode, as well as several unconventional and brutal death scenes scattered throughout.
  • A young girl threatens to commit suicide by jumping from a roof while her classmates make jokes and chant "jump!" Not violent but quite upsetting.
  • There are infrequent police raids, featuring heavily armed officers clearing buildings. They are generally not violent scenes, but are consistently intense.
  • A bomb is set off in a church, violently throwing several main characters to the ground.
  • A woman examines crime scene photos of a child's burnt and disembodied hands. Very upsetting.
  • A pig's head outfitted with a cop's hat and a blonde wig is left as a warning to a main character.
  • Major themes include sexual trafficking of children, and rape of children and adults.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is beaten over the head with a guitar. He is then held down and expanding foam is sprayed profusely into his mouth, causing his face and chest to crack and expand. Not particularly gory, but extremely violent and unexpected.
  • A murdered man's body is used to hide a bomb. After the explosion, we see a bucket full of his organs, and his disembodied head in a bag. Later we see his legs and fingers on an operating table.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • When a main character becomes a suspect, it is revealed he is addicted to heroin, and dies in the bathroom after shooting up.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A violent mob throws molotov cocktails into buildings, killing several civilians, then at main characters.
