Trouble in Athens
gtahack28 June 2015
I like this episode but I still have some problems with some of the things that were included in it. The best part of the whole episode was Hero's emotions that were so much darker than ever before since the start of the series. To top it off the sadness really washed over his face and you could feel what the character was really going through. I just had to mention this because I have never seen such amazing acting before in my entire life. It's strange how one spectacular performance can make the difference between a good episode and a bad episode. One of the downsides of this episode though is that I feel uncertain how well the other actors matched that of the one playing hero in their performance. Queen Medea was top-notch ruthless as usual, which was perfect. However I feel like Oracle's character was much more powerful in the previous episodes than she was in this one. My only problem now is that I don't like the opening of the episode and I believe it should have been stronger. Personally speaking I would have started with something explosive like the war in Athens, and someone getting seriously wounded.

Hero Cursed
bondza28 June 2015
Now I have to say for the first time I am super impressed with how Olympus delivered strongly. Most of the other episodes were good but this one just nailed it. I don't know what to say except that many things started adding up like the differences between King Aegeus's two sons: Hero and Lykos. Also Hero finally gets his name at the naming ceremony that is led by the king himself. I also found Hero's personal issues come into play in this episode. It makes me feel sorry for him as the audience because he is unable to enjoy the simple things that life has to offer. Companionship is one example in which it's revealed that he can't have a wife, a son, and a normal family. The reason why is because he knows that he is cursed and that the curse will be passed on to his son if he chooses to have children. The only thing I didn't like was that I have a feeling that the battle for Athens reached something almost like a stalemate. Let's just say that is not the way I would have ended this particular episode of Olympus if it were up to me. Other than that I loved it.

The Breakdown of a True Hero
crazzyhorn29 June 2015
This is a wonderful episode and I am shocked at how much the character of Hero has changed. He appears to be more grown up now than in the first episode. In the first episode he seemed so scared and frightened. Now he became this fearless fighter who will do anything to be rid of the curse that has befallen him. Well that is certainly a long way from a boy to a man in other words. What I love is how Hero is shown having his weakest moment in this episode as every protagonist has their bad day. Queen Medea is also very seductive and she tries to persuade Hero to use the lexicon so that the two of them can become immortal and hold all the power. Hero goes through all these tests of morality so to speak. Throughout the course of this episode we learn that Hero isn't into greed and material possessions. Above all that's what makes Hero a traditional protagonist, but these qualities themselves are excellent. I definitely guarantee that whoever watches the episode will enjoy it just as much as I did.

Almighty Greece

This episode is an improvement considerably since I didn't like any of the other episodes of Olympus that I watched. Finally some emotion from the actors. More importantly though there is a sense that the story of Olympus is soon coming to a close. Now it's a battle between good and evil as is often seen in movies and TV shows. My prediction is that it will be Hero versus the villainous Queen Medea and her minions. This was fun to watch and this time the fight scenes were really full of action. Every bit of this episode was entertaining so I for one have no complaints. The technology was better utilized to show lots of special effects. In my opinion this is the best episode of season one and I think many people out there would have fun watching it. And if it's this good on the first season I can only imagine how marvelous the second season will be.
