European TV powerhouses Zdf Studios and France TV Distribution are partnering as producers on Berlin-based Boogie Entertainment’s new crime drama “Blood Red Thread.”
Set in the “glamorous and cutthroat” world of fashion, the six-part series – also described as “stylish, witty and outrageous” – will expose various challenges the industry is facing, all the while following businessmen who rule the boardroom and clash with “divas of design,” both battling for power.
Filming will take place in the U.K., France and Germany, with delivery scheduled for August 2025.

Acorn TV, the Emmy-nominated purveyor of some of the best British shows out there, is climbing in bed with Evelyn Waugh.
The streaming service announced Tuesday morning that it has acquired “Decline and Fall,” a three-part adaptation of the late author’s first novel. The limited series stars Eva Longoria, “Poirot’s” David Suchet and comedian Jack Whitehall.

Acorn TV, the Brit-centric streaming service for American fans of international television, is bringing "Bridge of Spies" screenwriter Matt Charman's psychological thriller "Black Work" to the U.S. beginning Nov. 2. The NTAs have added four new categories for their 2016 edition, taking place at London's O2 Arena on January 20, 2016 and hosted by Dermot O'Leary.
Shows such as Game of Thrones, Orange Is The New Black and Transparent could be in the running for the International award, while New Drama could see Black Work battle against those pesky Humans.
TV Presenter will pit presenters of factual shows against entertainment presenters, as well as seeing TV couples facing each other such as Pointless's Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman.
The final new category of Live Magazine Show recognises topical shows across the whole schedule, from Lorraine to The One Show.

Game of Thrones actor David Bradley will play tribe leader Gorrik in the drama, while Ace Bhatti (Black Work) will appear as councillor Harken.
Former Road Wars star Lee Boardman will also have an appearance, along with Joe Sims (Broadchurch) and Gregory Fitoussi (Mr Selfridge).
William Hurt, Kieran Bew, Joanne Whalley, Ed Speleers and David Harewood have already been announced to have starring roles in the 13-part drama from Strike Back's James Dormer.

ITV's crime drama wrapped up its three-episode arc with 5.14m (23.5%) at 9pm, while a further 313k (1.9%) tuned in on +1. The series lost just short of 700,000 viewers from its first to its last episode.
Earlier, Catchphrase entertained 2.44m (13.5%) at 7.15pm (125k/0.6% on +1), while Surprise Surprise averaged 3.36m (17.0%) at 8pm (123k/0.6%).
