The boy Ronald living in the airduct of the school is a reference to the TV movie "Bad Ronald"(1974) about a boy who lives in the walls of his childhood home.
In the yearbook photo, the quote under Mike Stampone reads "Off to Winston Zeddemore High!". Winston Zeddemore is Ernie Hudson's character from Ghostbusters.
At the 18:45 mark, the girl in the park finishes a story with the line, "...and she stepped on the ball." This is the same wording and cut-to gag used in Trading Places (1983), which, itself, is a tribute to a longer version of the "stepped on the ball" story from Auntie Mame (1958).
Lilian (played by Carol Kane) and Titus' filming gets interrupted by bats. Carol Kane and Richard Kind (who plays Mr Lefkovitz) both act in Gotham, a prequel to the Batman legacy.
