- Emma captures the Snow Queen and interrogates her at the sheriff's station and Regina and Robin's relationship grows increasingly complex, as flashbacks detail information about the Snow Queen's life in Arendelle.
- Ingrid and her two sisters, Gerta and Helga, follow a kite that gets caught in a tree and leads to a man who tries to take Gerta and Helga away. But Ingrid, acting purely on fear, throws her hands up and unwittingly freezes a tree, from which a limb falls onto the would-be kidnapper, who calls her a monster just before he's knocked out by the fallen limb. The sisters make a pact to keep Ingrid's power secret.
In Storybrooke, Ingrid is The Snow Queen and she makes her way up to the clock tower, where she waves a hand and her mirror appears.
Robin Hood comes to Regina, who tries to convince him to save his wife by falling in love with her again. She says she can't be in his life, but Robin says he doesn't know what to do. Regina tells him to forget about her and start thinking about his wife Marian.
Emma and Elsa look at a spell book for ideas on how to neutralize The Snow Queen's powers.
Emma picks Mary Margaret up from a "first-time mothers" support group and takes note of how different Mary Margaret's new motherhood experience is from her first one. Emma's magic makes a baby bottle in her hand boil, and Mary Margaret and a couple of other moms notice. Emma gets a call that The Snow Queen is in the clock tower and heads over. Emma blows the heat from a candle at The Snow Queen to neutralize her powers. The flame turns into handcuffs around her wrists and she stops and says, "You got me."
Back in Fairy Tale Land, Ingrid's sisters get ready for their father's 70th birthday party while she decides to stay behind. At the party, Helga introduces her father to her new "friend," the duke. They dance while Ingrid watches longingly from a corner of the room. Snowflakes appear around her and she casts her eyes downward.
Elsa and Emma asks The Snow Queen what happened to Anna. Elsa gets emotional about it and Emma sends her on her way. The Snow Queen tries to chat Emma up about her superpower, which Emma told her about when she was younger. The Snow Queen tells Emma that she'll soon see that everything she's saying is true and let her go.
Henry finds Regina flipping through the fairy talk book and she's delighted to see him in a suit. He's getting ready for work at Mr. Gold's shop and needs help with his tie. She helps him and he asks her whether something happened with Robin Hood. She says she's moving on because whatever she had with him is over. But she says the next time her "happy ending" comes around she'll be ready. She also vows that they will find the author of the book and sends Henry off to work.
Emma asks The Snow Queen why she's been tracking her. The Snow Queen keeps referring to Emma as "family," along with Elsa, because they're the only ones alike. She warns Emma that her family fears her, then asks whether she's noticed any such fear. Emma insists they love her and accept her with her powers.
Back in Arendelle, Ingrid tells her sisters she was watching them from afar and that she has to leave, allowing Helga to be the queen that Arendelle deserves. Gerta tells them about Rumplestiltskin, who might be able to help control Ingrid's powers.
Back in Storybrooke, Elsa, David, Hook and Belle look at the mirror in the clock tower and realize it's not the real one. David figures out that she wanted to get caught. We next see The Snow Queen discreetly casting a spell that freezes the doors of the sheriff's station shut.
At the diner, Will runs into Robin Hood, who wants to chat about their past. Robin Hood tells Will (again) about how he met Marian by stealing her father's horse and how, by that act, he started stealing only from the rich to give to the poor. He says Marian made him who he is. Will tells Robin about how Marian told him that there was good in him that he didn't see for himself.
Henry, at the shop, asks Mr. Gold to teach him something more "magical" than sweeping the floors. Mr. Gold shows him furniture polish, which he calls a potion that can turn something old into something new. David, Belle, Hook and Elsa come ask for Mr. Gold's help with the sheriff's station. Hook asks Mr. Gold, when they're alone, why he isn't as concerned with The Snow Queen as he has been with other villains, but Mr. Gold blows him off.
Ingrid, Helga and Gerta come to Rumplestiltskin, who tells them that their sisterly bond is worth its weight in magic. He shows her some gloves that he says will conceal her powers if she believes it. He shows her the urn, into which she can pop her powers. He asks for their ribbons, who Ingrid says are just "silly little things we've worn since we were children." Helga and Gerta tell her they shouldn't give up their ribbons, but Ingrid hands hers over, saying their symbolic bond is "not enough."
Back in Storybrooke, The Snow Queen reminds Emma how angry she'd been at her parents. The Snow Queen tells her it will take just one mistake, one accident, to make them turn on her. The Snow Queen then refers to her parents' new child and tells her how glad her parents must be that this new child is "normal." Emma, enraged, pounds her hands on the table and inadvertently blows a hole through the brick wall of the station. The Snow Queen tells Emma she's revealing her true self and "it's beautiful." Then she waves her hand and disappears in a flurry of snow.
Shocked at what she's done, Emma stands at the blown-out wall and, when Hook, David, Elsa and Mary Margaret show up to help, she tells them to stand back because she can't control her powers. She waves an arm and a lamp post comes crashing down, hitting David. Mary Margaret looks at Emma angrily for a moment, and Emma runs away.
Back in Arendella, Ingrid gets a visit from the duke, who tries to make a move on Ingrid -- whom he calls a "mysterious flower," and "the queen to be." Having dropped her gloves, when she pushes him away a spell is cast. The duke is outraged by her sorcery. Helga shows up and the duke tries to convince her that Ingrid tried to kiss him and then cast a spell on him. Helga defends Ingrid and tells the duke to go away, but he vows to expose Ingrid. In a heated moment, Ingrid raises her hands in the duke's direction, but Helga steps in the way and is frozen and breaks to pieces, leaving Ingrid to worry over what she's done.
Robin hood shows up at Regina's place again and tells her he's tried to live be a righteous code, but says today is not one of those days. He kisses Regina.
David, Hook and Elsa come to Mary Margaret's place and report that Emma clearly doesn't want to be found. Mary Margaret laments that they had fear in their eyes when Emma looked at them.
Back in Arendelle, Gerta finds Ingrid crying over the crushed and frozen body of their sister. Gerta tells Ingrid to stay away from her and refuses to take Ingrid's hand, calling her "a monster." Gerta finds herself standing next to the urn, then reaches for it and opens it. Ingrid is sucked into the urn and Gerta closes the lid. We next see Gerta asking Pabbie for a memory potion to make everyone forget that Ingrid and Helga every existed. He warns that the truth has a way of coming out.
In Storybrooke, The Snow Queen comes to Mr. Gold and asks for her ribbons. She offers him "the missing piece" of his puzzle in exchange for her ribbons. She tells him he wants what every villain wants -- everything -- and she can give it to him. But she wants Storybrooke and her ribbons. He asks her what it is he requires, and she leans in to whisper something into his ear. He says not only can he do it, but he'll do it "with great pleasure."
