Royal Rumble Report.
clayface918 December 2019
The show opens with Vince McMahon apologizing to the WWE Universe for Bam Bam Bigelow's actions are the Royal Rumble. The first match is new Tag Team Champions the 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly defending the belts against the Smoking Gunns. Todd Pettengill gives the final Royal Rumble Report. Irwin R. Shyster makes short work of Buck Quartermain. We see a Man Mountain Rock vignette. Jerry Lawler's guest on the King's Court is Jeff Jarrett. Davey Boy Smith squashes the Black Phantom (Gangrel in a mask). The show was SUPPOSED to end with Bam Bam Bigelow apologizing for his actions at the Royal Rumble, but audio difficulties prevented that from happening. Other than a decent tag team match, there isn't much to see here.

Live from Palmetto, FL

Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Shawn Michaels

Vince McMahon apologizes to Lawrence Taylor's family for the actions of Bam Bam Bigelow at the Royal Rumble. Bigelow is suspended without pay.

Tag Team Championship

The 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly (C) Vs The Smoking Gunns

Both teams are babyfaces. The Smoking Gunns win the tag team titles. This is a fairly solid match. I didn't think it was anything too outstanding, but it got a decent chunk of time, and it had moments of excitement.

**3/4

The 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly are up next for an interview with Vince McMahon. The Kid gives The Smoking Gunns credit, but credit the loss to being overworked from having a match the night before at The Royal Rumble. The Kid asks The Smoking Gunns for a rematch next week.

We get a pointless Royal Rumble report with Todd Pettengill.

I.R.S (W/Ted Dibiase) Vs Buck Quartermain

I.R.S wins with a flying clothesline. This was a squash match that isn't really worth mentioning. Roddy Piper phoned in and talked about The Royal Rumble.

½*

We get a vignette of Man Mountain Rock. Boy, did this gimmick suck! It was very short-lived as well.

It's time for The King's Court with Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett says he told the world that he was gonna take Razor Ramon's Intercontinental Title, and that's exactly what he did. He said he'd humiliate Razor, and he did that too. Jarrett implores Razor to have a rematch. Jarrett says he wants the WWF Championship as well. Jarrett challenges Diesel to put the WWF title on the line. He claims he'll beat Diesel by submission.

Thoughts: This promo from Jarrett was OK. It would lead to a match between him and Diesel a couple of weeks later, I think.

The British Bulldog Vs The Black Phantom

The Bulldog wins with a powerslam. The only interesting thing about this match was the jawing back and forth between Shawn Michaels and The Bulldog.

3/4*

4.5/10 overall.
