First viewing thoughts generally of "Glasgowman's Wrath" were positive, while finding that it was one of the episodes that ended a lot worse than it started. One of those episodes where the first quarter or so was very memorable and lived up to the potentially unsettling premise, but on first viewing the conclusion had a running out of steam and too conventional feel. Loved 'Special Victims Unit' when it first started but the mid and espeically later seasons have been very hit and miss.

"Glasgowman's Wrath" luckily is closer to being one of the hits than the misses and is pretty much the same now as it was before. It's not a complete winner and didn't wow me over, though it was close considering how strongly it started. But it is a long way from a misfire, there are a lot of great things and the beginning alone makes it one of the creepiest episodes of the season. Still vividly remember how creeped out the episode made me on first watch and that feeling still remains.

Am going to start with the good. Peter Scanavino continues to get better and better with each episode and he gives an intense but also nuanced performance here, while all the regulars are good he stands out. Especially in his very touching bond with Charlie, which turned out to be the heart of the episode. Will Harris has an interesting character and plays him with assurance that unsettles to begin with but then moves.

Moreover, the atmosphere is wonderfully spooky and the beginning is one of the creepiest and most suspenseful of the latter seasons. Appropriately like being a part of a horror film. The script probes thought and is tight enough and the story is one that starts off incredibly well and is intriguing for much of the length.

Which is why it is a shame somewhat that "Glasgowman's Wrath" doesn't finish anywhere near as strongly as it started. Despite the perpetrator being unnerving, the truth didn't surprise me all that much and the momentum and suspense aren't there.

Rollins and Amaro come over as forced together and Cox is on the neurotic side.

Overall though, good episode. Just not a great one. 7/10.

Bad Seed

Warning: Spoilers
All of the Law And Order franchise shows have had their share of children killers, those who are juveniles and feel no empathy or remorse for the lives they take and maim. This particular SVU show has one of them here who is a babysitter and who has delved too deeply in the world of Gothic fantasy.

Both sexes like to tell ghost stories at night. But babysitter Chloe Csengery takes it way beyond the telling. She takes her two charges out to the park one night and they disappear, all of them.

An alert witness sees a homeless guy nicknamed Glasgowman carrying one of the little girls off and a search yields her alive if not well and sustaining stab wounds in the lair that Glasgowman has built for himself. Poor pathetic Will Harris makes one likely suspect, but new SVU regular Peter Scannavino bonds with him. That bond proves invaluable in solving the case and locating the other two.

As for the other two it's quite a story they try to tell in Family Court. They are only 14 and it goes there.

Will these kids ever get fixed? It's for the viewer to guess.

The Horrific Slender

WARNING : SPOILERS

To start the beginning of Glasgowmans Wrath is in a creepy setting as performed the Night after Halloween when "all the spirits are still out". This sets the tone of the episode that something tragic is about to happen. With that being done the audience sits at the edges of their seats to see what happens. After coming to realize the tragic events that occur with the three girls, we are led to believe that these young girls are victims of the story. As we continue to watch we learn that the terrible events that are vividly shown are all set up by the two elderly girls. It's one of the season's creepiest episodes just based on the opening. I can still clearly recall how creeped out the episode made me feel after watching it for the first time.

A big part of the episode that intrigued me was the character, Charlie. Counselor Carrisi played a good role in this episode showing how empathetic he is and understanding. His bond that forms with Charlie is the only heartwarming scene depicted from this episode. Olivia Benson shows a lot of emotion about what happens with these girls. When coming to find out the truth of what has gone on you can see the utter disgust and shock in the detectives. Something so awful occurred from girls of the age of twelve, also hurting one of their younger sisters. It is terrifying to know that this case is real reenacting the Slenderman Stabbing.

By the end of the episode, it is a shame that we do not fully see justice being served. This specific episode has such a strong opening to have a lead on ending. In my opinion I wished for a part two, the truth was not told from what we fully see, the girls had more of plan than they led on which we are not able to discover. The last scene the two oldest girls are being escorted out of the building, one being charged and the other walking free. We see both girls grinning at one another and share a pinky promise behind their backs, while standing behind them is Counselor Carrisi who understands that there is more to the story. The audience is lead to more mystery without any closure or full justice being served. For such a great start to an episode the ending almost ruins the entirety of the case we uncover. As a fan, I wished for more and I know Dick Wolf could've presented that if he wanted to.

Overall, the episode does display a good version of the real case but could of been executed better. My love for SVU is so strong that I expect more than what is given at times, this episode was one of those times.

Glasgowman This, Glasgoman That

Warning: Spoilers
The episode itself was "Looney Tunes". I suppose this was meant to be a spooky Halloween episode but they took the urban legend of, I'm assuming, Slender Man way too far. Either have a good plot or make the episode very scary. It gave us neither. The only scene I enjoyed was when Carisi talked to the homeless man and told him he's a Good Samaritan.
