Ill the Giant Danger Beast" picked up right where "Kill the Nuisances" left off, with Tatsumi and Esdeath reunited. The two talk about what they've been doing since they last met, and as Esdeath forcibly cuddles Tatsumi (struggle cuddle), a hooded man appears and uses an Imperial Arm to spirit them far away. Tatsumi and Esdeath suddenly find themselves on a tropical island, but before they can do more than take in the scenery, they are attacked by (believe it or not) a giant Danger Beast. Tatsumi recognizes that the beast seems to have the same weak point that Dr. Stylish had, that being a human body in the head that controls the large beast. Esdeath uses her ability to skewer the beast with ice, and Tatsumi uses the ice to run to the host being and kill it. A second giant Danger Beast appears, but Esdeath decides to be quick with this one and drop a colossal ball of ice on it, killing it instantly.
The rest of the episode is spent pretty much on Esdeath and Tatsumi exploring the island and learning each other's personal histories. More importantly, we learned a lot about Esdeath, starting with that she was originally part of the Paltas Clan, which was a clan of Danger Beast hunters from the north. This is where her "survival of the fittest" ideology originated, and was only reinforced by the killing of her clan by another clan. After she was orphaned, Esdeath eventually joined the Imperial military and quickly rose to the rank of General.
We then learned about Esdeath's Imperial Arm, the Demon's Extract, which is apparently the blood of a high level Danger Beast that had control over ice. To gain its' abilities one has to drink the blood, though all who had previously drank the blood were driven mad by the beast's voice. But not so for Esdeath, as she quickly dominated the beast and gained its' power after downing the entire chalice of blood.
Esdeath and Tatsumi eventually moved on to talk about ways to return home, deciding that they will either have to capture and train a flying Danger Beast or wait for the portal (gate or something) to reopen. Coincidentally, the portal reopens and the two return back to the mountain where they were reunited earlier, though Tatsumi leaves first and uses the moment to turn invisible to hide from Esdeath. The two are split once again, with Tatsumi realizes that the next time they meet, it will be as enemies.
