Chain of Command

Weaver follows Katie out of the base and discovers a secret that affects the security of the base. He groups soldiers from the military base to explain that Tom, his sons and Anne are not traitors. Meanwhile Tom convinces his guard that he and his family are good people and they organize an escape. But they are surprised and are sent to the firing wall.

"Stalag 14th Virginia" is the conclusion of the previous episode of "Falling Skies". The plot is absolutely predictable with no surprise, what is not good for a series that is ending. My vote is six.

For the first 40 minutes, really liked it. Good plot, good storytelling, was feeling that it could have led to other storylines that could have extended this for another season. Then came the ridiculous last two minutes. Really, Pope went from showing his compassionate side to running "thunderdome" just because his girlfriend died? Found the character of Pope's to be interesting until the head shaving, then it went from possibly compelling to just stupid and predictable. Really thought they could have done more with the character. Overall, season 5 has been good, had potential for another season.

Is Pope Gollum, Randall Flagg or Darth Vader?

Now that Pope has gone off the deep end and has his Randall Flagg Las Vegas all that is left is for him to go 1 of three ways. Will he be Gollum who unwittingly brings about the destruction of the enemy? Or will he be Randall Flagg and just be a bad guy caught in the chaos of his own making as the Espheni go down. Or will he be Darth Vader and watch the 2nd. Mass being slowly decimated and then jump in at the last second and save the day and being redeemed. With only 2 episodes left I don't see a whole lot of other directions for him to go, but maybe I will be surprised; maybe Pope is the alien deity the overlords are bowing to? Doubtful!!!
