This episode of "Nazi Mega Weapons" is about the SS and it focuses on two main themes--the history and growth of the SS as well as the SS and its insanely large and often wasteful building programs. It is NOT an exhaustive study of the SS and doesn't talk a lot about the day to day operations and their training programs--but is more about THINGS, such as the giant SS training camp next to the Dachau prison camp and the Project Giant project in Poland. This is not a complaint...more just an explanation of the themes and style of the show. It also talks about the three branches of the SS--the police and security force, the folks that ran the concentration camps and the Waffen SS which was the military branch that often were the liquidation squads on the Eastern Front. It also shows the strange Wewelsburg complex where the weird pseudo-religious cult-like castle was the SS headquarters. Interesting and a well made show.
