A hard-to-find,harmless and silly comedy from an obscure maverick film-maker!

Warning: Spoilers
I know very-little about film-maker Bruce Cronin. I do know that he made another,earlier,1973 comedy short film called 'the wild goose' which was reminiscent of a longer 'Benny Hill Show' comedy skit.

This particular film here is simple and sweetly-comical. The small cast all manage to play their parts with enthusiasm and energy,it looks like they had a lot of fun while making this film.

Everyone needs a break from their ordinary day-to-day life once in awhile, and the main character here seems to be long-overdue for the break that he does eventually get.

Our main-character/hero is named 'Henry Phipps'. Henry has been toiling-away at a dreary job and it is at this job that he wins a "ski weekend" at an unnamed ski resort.

The impression is that our man Henry has never skied before or if he has it was quite awhile ago. In other words,Henry is not a skilled or polished skier at all, especially compared to most of the other, younger skiers.

Henry goes on the ski trip and it gets off to a rocky start. The first day or so,nothing seems to go right for Henry,in fact he barely even gets to eat anything! It looks like Henry is in for a pretty lonely, miserable weekend if things don't improve somehow!

What will happen ? Watch and see,and tell us what YOU think about the film !

I liked it,it is a sweet and humorous film that only seems to get better upon subsequent viewings.

Try to keep in mind that that there are dozens of much-worse films with 10-20X the budget of this film.

75/100 at least.
