No season 3

I thought this was a fantastic show especially season 2! Disappointed there isn't a 3rd season to see what happened to the outlaws! So much build up and then nothing! Come on history channel, personally I'm sick of gold rush etc! Bring back the action!

How didn't this become an ongoing series?
ascent-3810419 July 2023
I was not expecting much from this series. I was about to read Falco's book but saw this and thought I would watch it first. I'm watching SOA at the same time BTW.

Wow this is just as good if not better. I think it beats SOA in portraying bikers gangs more realistically and less like the fantasy Robin Hood style that SOA does.

The acting is great and considering it is a Canadian production it is very slick. You really feel the danger and tension Falco was under. The bikers in this series are so close to real and often times frightening.

Although it derives its content from real events, which may have challenged its longevity due to lack of further material, a fictional continuation of the story could have worked. The acting and production was that good.

This one was a hidden gem that definitely leaves you wanting more.

Survival

There is a chance that these series could give something different in the field of TV screened undercover stories. You have a person with real problems, a drug dealer who hits rock bottom and you have a fear, a lot of fear that this bottom has a hole. Potential 20 years in jail is wasted life time in hell, pure punishment with no other meaning, no future. And there is another way - through the bottom of the very dangerous people and his own. This pit is dip, dipper than his worst nightmare dreams, but there is no easier way out. He chooses to face the demons right away, in order to make amends for his mistakes from the past. In the end, there is one question left to be answered: if he ever comes back, who will he be... in the end. I am eager to find out!

For all the Sons of Anarchy lovers out there, so have worshiped SAMCRO and the 'quiet' town of Charming, look no further as this is a perfect 6 Hour Binge for you.

Charlie Falco's infiltration will captivate all, as the story, acting, narration is BRILLIANT!!!!

If you wanna know what life truly is in a MC, 6 Hours is all you gotta give!!!

Are you game????

Wish there were more such Mini-Series out there!!!!

Oh the thrill!!!!

Best FACT based drama in years

This comment are for those who want are skeptical or if this show is worth it.

This mini-series is something new and tired wasted or boring. Kept my attention almost every minute. If you're tired of reality shows, recycled story lines from boring movies, then this is the show for you. I felt like I was watching a well directed, acted, and creative story. I usually only watch a couple of hours of TV because it is soooo predictable. However, I just caught this show because I thought the title was interesting. I could stop watching I sat there for at least five hours unheard for me.

Will you give this show 10 dollars?
Sofrex22 April 2017
It's the first time I write a review, and believe you me I did not see any series more Perfect than this show at all. Sure there is ups and downs for every TV-show, but this one is just so "PERFECT". The acting is "PERFECT", the production is "PERFECT", through the whole show you feel like you're living the story, the music is on point, and this show as a whole is a "MASTERPIECE". I'm really hoping for a 3rd season.

brilliant biker show!!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
this show is getting better and better!! When can i get the box set? The show highlights some interesting dark facts about being in a biker gang. You get sucked into the gang and your life is over.

How does Falco even have the balls to get involved as an undercover is beyond comprehension. I guess when you're desperate to try and escape jail, the offer seems redeeming. Does he get caught?

In episode 1 when you see another agent being blown to death in a freshly dug out grave, it was a bit frightening. The Vagos makes the Hells Angels look tame. I hope something good comes out for Falco!!!

This is way way better than that other biker show!!!

Pretty darn good
Gretel10063 April 2015
I ended up watching episode 1 only because it came on after Vikings. I enjoy watching TV shows/movies that are based on true life. (I do go into these knowing that some leeway has to be given to the facts so that it can make for good TV viewing.). So I was pretty interested in checking out "Falco's" undercover story to see real-life danger and a world that is completely different than my own.

As I watched this episode it kept cutting away to have the real Falco give some narration. It seemed quite disruptive and irritating especially when it happened during a tense action scene. I just wanted to be able to watch the characters interact - to get to the meat. I remember thinking that The History Channel really messed up what could have been an otherwise great TV show.

I ended up giving it a second chance and I am glad I did. The show continued to have Falco give a personal accounting, but they were able to make it flow more smoothly into the story. And actually, I appreciated having more insight into what he was thinking and feeling. The show really picked up.

I just watched episode 6......What?! That's it? Even though Falco spent 3 years of his life infiltrating this often vicious gang it gets condensed down to 6 shows? What a disappointment. I would think that given the huge success of Sons of Anarchy that there would be tons of people wanting to see into the real existence of a Biker Club/gang. It's confusing that they only put out 6 episodes. But 6 episodes is all we get. When I think of the overall cohesiveness, it seems like key information is lacking which could've been resolved with a longer first season. Regardless, I do really like the show.

It was pretty incredible to see the dire situations that Falco got into and see how well he thought on his feet and how he managed to get out of the hot-seat. It liked seeing a more realistic view on the biker lifestyle. Another positive is that it didn't portray a romanticized version of being an outlaw like SOA often did, but made sure to point out the criminal activities.

I would be happy to find out that The History Channel is going to have another season and show Falco's next undercover assignment. I believe he infiltrated biker clubs/gangs a total of 2 or 3 times.

Watch the movie....
torbenholk11 July 2019
If you're so worried about the ending, Charlie Sheen, and Linda Fiorentina starred in the movie "Above the Law," based on this guy. He's actually got a small cameo on the end of the movie. But, of course, we won't know which of them, he is. It's a decent movie.

Great Show
mellyk17 April 2017
My boss recommended this show to me when season 1 out. It was one of the few shows that I made sure I watched on the History Channel every week when it was airing. Of course true story's or storys based on true events are always better in my opinion. I've now finished the 8 episodes for Season 2 and of course, it ends on a cliffhanger. If anyone from History channel reads this for some reason, please get on renewing it for that 3rd season. Otherwise ill have to read the book. I don't like reading and this show is too good to cancel.

Overrated
landshark663 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand the high rating for this show. I think it's seriously overrated. The pacing of the show is ridiculous, the acting is poor and the narration is annoying. The majority of the characters come off a "biker clichés". They have the "hard to get to know" President, the "suspicious" Sargent at Arms, the "young crazy" member, the "he's a good guy just trying to get out" member and the "old but wise" member. The female rolls are simply place holders because you have to have them around. This could/should have been a very good show but I just feel it was a huge let down on pretty much every front. I continued to watch thinking and hoping it would get better. I can't help but think Falco's version of events is probably exaggerated more than usual.

Excellent

Warning: Spoilers
I think the actors all do a great job getting into character. Thanks to everyone for showing support for our veterans and service members. Episode 1 season 2. It means a lot to us veterans and military people when actors include respect and support in shows.Especially in biker clubs I have never met a member from any club that when they heard I was a veteran didn't come up and give there respect to me. And are always looking to do military benefit rides and for the fallen soldiers. Oh and just wanted to say spider( Justin Mader) and crowbar (Shawn Benson) you guys are great at these roles. Thanks again the veteran..... Just a thought Maybe put a episode together where the clubs or club do escort a solder to his final resting place.or something just a idea.

Gang, Prison, guns and drugs at its best.
volunteeraz13 February 2018
Although the narration is a bit long and sometimes can be annoying, I can see its necessity. It non only ties big knots to complete plot gaps but also aides in making the story MOVE at an accelerated rate. Cast? Excellent Story? Believable Prison Life? No first hand knowledge, but seemed to cover all the bases.

Not for everyone...but you KNOW if it is.

Not bad at all
jamesjump7 November 2019
For the most part, season one is really good. Gritty, realistic, and fun. Season 2 is a different story, it's still good but definitely lost some of the edge that season 1 had...still, all in all a very good series.

Great show! Literally keeps you at the edge of your seat! Everyone knows when you watch a "Based on True Events" shoe or movie that they spice it up so those who get mad at that are stupid. This show is a must watch on all levels! And season 2..... Phenomenal! I just hope they make a season 3!

fact based...how accurate
djp-5887211 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
so...if it's "fact based", you'd think they would check some of their facts. Episode 1....He goes to the bar and meets the Vagos..In fabricating his story about his background, he told them he was in a prison in a town called...Lompoc..The name of the town is pronounced lom-poke....minor detail, but, if it's s true story, you think he actually called it lom-pock to the vagos. Episode 4...they're in a run down diner when schizo goes off on some family...it's implied that the diner is in/near the Reno run...the sign outside has a phone number on it...area code 623.....that's any of a number of west phoenix suburbs...pretty sure it ain't on the way from san bernadino to Reno....so...fact based---maybe...fact check---fail.

Over rated
sridgely197015 March 2022
I find 99 out of 100 shows that are ranked 8 or higher on IMDB to be high quality and worth watching. This show is one of the exceptions. It is low budget, poorly produced, and has sub par acting across the board. AVOID!!!

Good show but..
monaphansi16 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I have just watched episode 2.

In the scene were the agent gives Falco a Harley & he takes it for a quick spin before giving it to him, the agent puts his 3/4 helmet on the wrong way round & rides off. When he turns round & comes back, the helmet is miraculously the right way around. duh..

Just left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth & I am still not 100% sure why it bothers me so much. I think it is because if they can't even get a simple thing like putting a helmet on right, how can we believe anything else they depict.

Trading on the success of SoA but.. I will watch the rest of the series with interest.
