VERY good show. Serves as the origin tie-in to Arrow and Flash.

Warning: Spoilers
This show serves to introduce us to the character of Mari McCabe / Vixen, as well as set her up for her appearance in Arrow this season (Season 4, Episode 15 - Taken).

The animation is amazing and the voice acting is top notch.

Stephen Amell and Emily Rickards from Arrow reprise their roles as well as Grant Gustin and Carlos Valdes from Flash.

A lot of the stuff that Vixen can do would be VERY hard to pull off on a TV budget, which is why introducing her this way is so important.

I'll admit that the 5 minute segments can be a bit annoying at times, but it gives that "need" for the next chapter so all-in-all, the formula works.

Season 4, Episode 15 - Taken of Arrow will continue where this left off so if you care to get the whole story and want to know how Ollie and Mari know each other, then this is a MUST watch.

HIGHLY recommend !!!

An animated CW show yeah why not

Warning: Spoilers
This is a pretty interesting change from CW show focusing more on the animated side of things then live action.

Season 1 of Vixen was a bore but Season 2 is a massive improvement. We get to see all the legends in this. I hope if there is a season 3 we get to see Supergirl. I like the fact that all of the actors from CW got to reprise their roles and get a chance to do voice acting.

Vixen - 1 Episode per Season
theskyavatar14 September 2015
Don't expect to get attached to this show. Vixen is a 5 minute per episode show, which is basically an episode of a regular show cut into 5 minute parts. By the time you do feel some emotional involvement to the story you get to see the subtitles.

Furthermore, quality of the artwork of the show isn't all that remarkable - its just about what you'd expect from DC and Warner Bross. The only good thing to report on the artwork is Vixens new appearance. She actually looks like a regular person, as opposed to her bitchy glamor look from before.

As for the Story, the show is building up slowly, taking their time to tell a tale. this could be a good thing if an episode would last 20 to 30 min, but tanks miserably with a 5 minute show. You get what is happening in the story, but without the emotional dept you would feel from a longer episode.

My advice - wait until every episode has aired and watch them all in a row, and maybe, just maybe, you'll manage to get some joy out of this show.

Interesting character saved for a subpar show. Disrespect.
ThunderKing67 December 2021
Story: Its about a melaninated hero who has animal like abilities.

Production: it's based in the Arrowverse/CW. The only thing good about Arrowverse/CW is Arrow. Everything else is filth. Placing this Vixen in the Arrowverse/CW as a crummy quality cartoon was a big mistake. Vixen could have had the respect Black Panta had. Unfortunately, they wasted a what could have been.

Main intellgence: 5

Highlight: Nothing.

Grossness Level: 3

Should you watch this show? No. It only lasted 1 year. No one cared about this show anyways. They wasted a character with potential and fed her to swine.
