Bremner takes on
Prismark105 February 2015
Rory Bremner is back well who else? Since his Channel 4 series ended some years ago his brand of satirical comedy with impressions have been absent for some time but he returns to the BBC after over 20 years to look back at the past five years of the coalition government.

The programme was rather hit and miss as some of the sketches were weak or just lacked edge. It does not help that his impression of David Cameron is awful, looking nothing like him. Bremner was always a naturally looking Paddy Ashdown.

His old comrade John Bird joins him, sadly John Fortune died several years ago. Bremner is also joined by the newer brand of comedians such as Matt Forde who takes time to impersonate Nick Robinson, William Hague and makes sharp barbs against Ed Miliband.

The best part was the show's remix of the leaders' debate as an episode of The Weakest Link with Jan Ravens playing Anne Robinson.

The programme did look rather cheap and also quickly produced as the recording only took place a few days ago.
