When Dr Shepherd injects the fluorescein dye into Dr Herman's tumour it is shown to emit a bright greenish-blue glow, but the real source - probably an LED light panel - can be seen reflected in Dr Shepherd's loupes. Also visible in the same shot is the small patch of filter gel taped to the front of Shepherd's headlamp in order to control its colour balance for the camera.
