A good character study
Imdbidia24 January 2017
This is the first short I watched by Joseph Bennett, and although it is not my favorite, it intrigued me enough to watch several others.

An middle-aged homeless man lives in the street surrounded by kids toys and personal stuff. He speaks about fine dining and restaurant work relations to any person waiting at the bus stop where he's camping. There are two weird alien-like watching his every movement.

The virtue of this film resides on its depiction of insanity and homelessness from the point of view of the insane, the way he sees the world and needs to communicate everything that crosses his mind with any human, no matter they want to listen or not. It is mostly a character study, and a very good one. I personally know people with mental problems who would have similar non-stop conversations accompanied or alternated by spying paranoia.

The voicing is actually by a real person, an anonymous man at bus stop, and was recorded by Ben Kronberg and incorporated into the film. In this case the film is real as life itself, literally.

A document of the life in modern cities, where alienated people just want other people to listen to what they have to say.

Examination of Paranoia

I can't believe this has so few reviews and is so low rated. I think it would be more appreciated by a wider audience as the animation really is superb and confronting. Would be at home on Adult Swim or something like that I guess
