Avarage episode of Teen Wolf, this season can be better. I'm missing the real action of the first season, it's still okay but a 8/10 is fair at this moment.

The Trickster's Game!

Warning: Spoilers
Honestly I'm in a love/hate relationship with this episode, and this one was actually the first episode where we can see the bond of friendship starting to break, unfortunately Theo's plan is working so far. He's so twisted that he already convinced Scott that Stiles isn't that innocent about Donovan's murder, he changed the story and blamed Stiles for D's death. Theo's still a lost peace of the puzzle, we already knew that he works to both sides, but I'm not convinced by the «I want to be part of the pack», he still hidden things.

Seriously, Scott know Stiles since ever, he should not be like that with Stiles, and for real, how can Scott trust someone so quickly, I'm like Stiles, never trust anyone. As usual, Stiles is right about Theo all along.

I really hope that this situation don't last too much, Theo's intentions must be uncovered already, and I hope that will happen in the next episode, so Scott and Stiles team up again, stronger than never and destroy Theo for good.

«Some of us are human», Stiles is right...

The weakest season, so far
skipperkd26 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I dislike using secrets, lies of omission, and poor communication as THE major plot driver, but when it continues across multiple episodes, it smacks of a fundamental misfire. I hope things change for the better in March, when this season resumes.

This distrustful prevarication could have worked in seasons 1 or 2, but now we are at season 5, and the pack has had years to coalesce. Stiles would have been the first to tell Scott how Donovan died. Scott, the true alpha, is a true leader, loyal, ferocious, and yet also wise. He's been none of those things. He turned his back on Stiles, choosing to believe Theo instead. He's been too stupid to notice the incongruities about Theo, or even to listen for a tell-tale heartbeat. I won't bother mentioning all the clues Scott has missed about Theo, because others have already listed them. Why didn't he wonder how Theo found the captives so quickly, when he'd been looking for hours? Stiles, usually so smart, has also been blind.

The only redeeming characters are Mason, and Liam and Hayden, and Parrish and Lydia. Everyone else is keeping secrets from the pack, and for no good reason. Even Malia hides the secret of the Desert Wolf. And Sheriff Stalinski suddenly decided to go by the book, which makes no sense when he knows the supernatural cannot be handled by normal means.

I had hoped the good doctor Deeten would return to Beacon Hills, but he's still off stage, held captive.

The plot is redundant. The same scenes keep recurring, with different victims. We've learned almost nothing about the the Dread Doctors, the Wild Hunt, the Desert Wolf. We've focused mainly on communication and trust failures within the pack. We are learning more about what Parrish is.

On the wrong track.
hellraiser78 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Warning do not read unless you've seen episode.

I rarely do reviews like this but sometimes something bad happens an I just need to get it out. Yeah this episode was a game changer no doubt but not in a good way.

I may'be in the minority on this but personally this season has became a let down for me so far. One of the biggest problems with this season is that there are just way too many subplots that just don't mesh together. Half the time I'm almost confused as to what the top priority really is.

I don't really like the thing about both Stiles and even Mahala giving some trust to Theo, that was out of character for both of them, that was just bad writing. Stiles should be aware of the Gestopo tactic, where enemy agents would kill there own just to gain trust or destroy evidence.

Let alone the fact that both have been separated throughout most of the season which tees me off since both are my favorite couple on the show, I was looking forward to more interplay between the two. Personally I felt there should of been a subplot with both of them where as Scott and the others fight off the Dread doctors both Stiles and Mahala they investigate into Theo and try to uncover and thwart his plans. Which would've made a lot of sense since we really don't know this guy, let alone Theo isn't even his real name.

But to me what's really bad about this season so far is Scott himself. Scott has became a terrible character, he's literally gone from up to down. As the Alpha of the pack he's suppose to be strong and smart but instead he's became weak and stupid. At times I just wanted you yell out "Hello, Hello anybody home think McCall think!" I really hate the fact that he would just give all his trust to some guy he doesn't even know. And the thing is there were so many opportunities to know that something rotten was going on in Denmark. Like that recording of Kira that Theo showed Scott, why didn't Scott just take it to Mason or even Kira's Mom and Dad to get a second opinion what if Theo lied about the translation. Let alone why wouldn't Scott be suspicious about Theo's providence of this info. One of the things in espionage is to always be cautious of your source and have positive conformation of you info, because he or she could be lying.

There was also a moment in the episode where both Scott and Theo are driving together and Theo is serving Scott another can of bull water. At this moment was the perfect opportunity for Scott to use his hearing so he can hear Theo's heartbeat to detect a lie and of course Scott doesn't. Even Matt Murdock/Daredevil would know Theo is full of crap.

But the episode comes down to a moment that was both heart sinking and infuriating. Both Scott and Stiles confront each other and of course Stiles is trying to tell the truth clear up whatever it was Scott heard from Theo. But of course Scott is giving Stiles just some pacifistic bull crap on not killing. When I heard that I thought "What the Frak are you talking about, if Stiles didn't do what he did he would already be dead, think about it!" And when it comes to life and death situations, people have a right to defend themselves; if you or anyone else's life is being phycially threatened then you act by all means necessary to protect yourself and the other. Also the guy Stiles killed wasn't innocent he was a perpetrator, so yeah think about that Scott.

Instead of understanding from Scott, Scott then says something to Styles to coldly dismiss him and then walks away from him. At that moment I just wanted to punch Scott. What Scott said offended not just Styles, but me and anyone else put under life and death circumstances.

Alright, I've said enough. We've just about finished the first half of the season, hopefully the second half might save it. But like I said hopefully, because right now just like in a hunt gone bad, this season so far is on the wrong track.

Stiles is always right!

Warning: Spoilers
I hate Scott from now. Stiles is the powerless character here but always the strongest. His decisions are right and all his theories are true. How can a person don't trust his best friend who stood for him for years and years and trust Theo the stranger the one who is breaking every relationship. If the enemy here is the relationships breaking down so I'm out of it

Dread drs, more like dreadful storyline!
advancedpaintingrenovating18 September 2022
If you know what jump the shark means, that's exactly what this season has been! I appreciate the new characters etc, but, these dread drs were the worst!

Ok, so I need to use six hundred characters to write a review! I think it's ridiculous to have a minimum of six hundred characters for a review! So I'm just going to keep writing nonsense until the six hundred characters are up! And can you believe it's still at one seventy? I can't believe that I'm still typing this! I sure hope no one has continued reading this! Well, it's at fifty something now, it's under!! They really should count spaces!
