Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Elena (the main character) eventually kills Shuriki (the initial main villain) with a deliberate blast from the scepter of light (this is a while after her initial two defeats). Shuriki pretty much just disappears. Nothing graphic.
  • Elena kills (and/or sends back to the spirit world) a moth fairy named Orizaba who wants to make it dark all the time, forever, but otherwise claims no particular threat. She does so with the glow power of her scepter, which gradually (and perhaps painfully) sends Orizaba back to the spirit world. This power visibly damages Orizaba's wings as she's being sent back to the spirit world. Orizaba's wings are still visibly damaged, even long after she's sent back to the spirit world; Elena meets her there in two future episodes. Orizaba is only in about three episodes, and a major character in only two.
  • A giant creature named Kizin causes Elena's arm to be hurt. Her arm is in a sling for a good while afterward, and she practices using her scepter with her other hand. She expresses pain because of her wounded arm at a few points.

Profanity

  • Elena says 'blazes' once. It's important to the plot that she says it, but she does mean it as an expletive. She starts to rehearse back what she said later on, but she only says 'blaze' before being interrupted. She realizes 'blaze' is a keyword to activate a power of her scepter. She says 'blaze' a lot through the series to use this power, but never the full word she initially spoke, and never as an expletive.
