The film premiered on Anothermag.com on the 24th of March, 2015.
The name is a line from a poem written by the New York Harlem poet Helene Johnson, but as director Mark Cousins explained: "Her line could have been written by Pasolini - that conjunction of solemnity and hatred."
The piece of music heard in the middle of the film is a punk rock version of the "Amami Alfredo" aria from Puccini's La Traviata opera.
