Same old, same old

Hmmm....I like the series very much - at first. Although, it starts to be a bit of aa grind - i.e., often plug and chug plots. Same old, same old. These cops are invincible. Where this one hit home was when Erin is facing one of the perps who has a gun pointed at her head and she continues to look him straight in the eye and repeat: "Shoot me. Come on, shoot me." Yes, I understand that she's grieving the loss of her friend, Nadia, which happened a couple of episodes before and even feeling culpable; however, this scene just brings home how unbelievable some of the scenes and outcomes are. I give the series, overall, an 8/10 stars whereas in the first season, alone, I would've given it 9 or 10/10...it's just that the plots need to be less plug and chug, same old, same old.
