Reese is fighting a criminal in the bathroom of the restaurant where he will have lunch with Iris and her parents. Later, he returns to the precinct and Finch gives the name of the number delivered by The Machine. It is Alex Duncan, who works at a firm called Anderson Rake Consulting. Finch also provides a fake identification for Reese. Afterhours, Reese sees Duncan stealing files from the safe of his supervisor's office. He follows him on the street and sees CIA agents kidnapping Duncan under the command of Agent Terence Beale, who is an old acquaintance of Reese. In 2010, he sent Reese and Kara Stanton investigate the military Brent Tomlinson, who is suspect of treason providing information about the transportation of Stingers that were stolen to the Taliban. Reese rescues Duncan from the CIA and brings him to a hotel, where he learns that he just wants to know what happened to his older brother, Brent Tomlinson, who as killed by Reese. Meanwhile, The Machine sends Root to work as driver in a delivering company, and she learns that the Samaritan is using malware to infect the firmware of computers and electronic apparatuses to spy the users.
"Truth Be Told" is an episode of "Person of Interest", where Reese is haunted by ghosts of his past. The discovery of Terence Beale that Reese is alive may bring problems for him in the future. The end of his relationship with Iris is certainly to protect her. The discovery of Finch and Root of the malware installed by the Samaritan in electronic devices is promising. My vote is eight.
