To hear 'Crimes & Cults' tell is, the 1970s were a time of unbridled barbarism. Just a parade of serial killers, violent cult leaders, assassins and massacres. Ratings and gun sales are up, and it's a nation in woeful decay (to say nothing of the social unraveling of New York City). Pat of me wonders how accurate a reflection this is, as I wasn't alive then. On the other hand, it makes for engrossing subject matter; the most captivating episode thus far.

It's not so much what was in the Kool Aid as what was in the drinking water. Murder really seemed to be rampant back then. Obviously, this is all for memorable TV but memorable is most surely is.
