Will Saul help Carrie?
Tweekums16 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
After the events of the previous episode Quinn is helped by the Muslim man who found him; it turns out he is a doctor but can't practice in Germany... he is also involved with some shady individuals who are not happy with him bringing Quinn to the place they live; one in particular is convinced that he must be a spy and wants him killed. Meanwhile Carrie's meeting with Saul doesn't go as well as she'd hoped as he refuses to give her a copy of the stolen data. He does however take on board her suggestion that the Russians may be involved and orders the embassy swept for bugs. Unfortunately he doesn't suspect that the head of station is a traitor so when he shares his ideas she directs more suspicion at him.

This is another solid episode even if Quinn's storyline requires some suspension of disbelief… what are the odds that the person who helped him would be associated with a terrorist group?! It did however lead up to an exciting confrontation between Quinn and the terrorist who wanted him killed. While there is less danger in the embassy scenes there is still a sense that Saul's activities could lead to him being formally accused of being the traitor. Since we know that station chief Allison Carr is the real traitor she is shaping up to be a good villain; each move she makes against Saul making her more despicable. Carrie's story advances less than usual in this episode but it does raise questions about what will happen next as she boards a plane for an unknown destination. As expected the acting and direction is of a high quality. Overall a decent episode with some exciting moments.

Too convenient
Abdulxoxo18 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Isn't it convenient, too convenient, that Peter came upon a person, who happens to be a doctor and work for some terrorists who are planning on attacking Berlin? Yeah, that's a bit more than coincidence, and the storyline is a bit unnecessary but I hope it'll converge with the main plot later on. Saul put his neck on the line for Carrie, and Dar doesn't seemed to trust him anymore, I like all the scenes with Saul and Dar, it's enjoying to watch and it's somewhat hilarious.

Directing saved this episode
insideout09829 July 2018
I have to say, Alex Graves did a great job directing this episode. AS I have complained about in the past, there are too many writers and directors in this series to maintain any reasonable level of continuity. But I have to say the pacing, shot angles and intensity, in general, far surpassed the episodes that came before it, in this season, and beyond. I have found myself fast-forwarding though pregnant dramatic sequences that seemed to stretch out to eternity. So this was a pleasant surprise. Mr. Graves should continue to direct this show, and by the way, keep a bevy of writers who actually love what they're doing in the context of Homeland and stay put until the seasons end.

Saul and Dar and almost nothing else besides Quinn...
magnusxxx31 January 2019
I completely agree the show has been lacking the last couple of seasons. Quinn might still be the strongest character inspite of the subpar writing. But anytime Saul and Dar have a conversation of any kind I am completely on board. Mandy and F. Murray are masters of the craft and I could listen to them saying anything all day. But beyond that, I keep sticking around for the gorgeous cinematography.

Script quality going down, down and down
lahormigajuan6 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
In this last season, Carrie develops a manic episode within hours... that magically and immediately cures.

Saul and Dar Adal were some of the smartest people on earth, but they are now among the dumbest.

Carrie and Saul, while sought by half world's intelligence services, show up openly in such a hidden and secret place as... Potsdamer Platz!

Frankly, I am losing interest in this show quite fast. What is happening to these writers?

I hope the story can someday be back at its former level, thrilling with no easy tricks.

... and down it goes again

Warning: Spoilers
Just finished praising the previous episode, but this one was a series of events stretching the plot too far. Seriously, what are the chances of Quinn being saved by a good Muslim doctor who just happens to have all the meds Quinn needs? Not only that, but Doc is also living in the same building with a bunch of bad Muslim terrorists who are plotting murderous plans. What are the chances?

Then despite being half dead, Quinn manages to take out the baddest guy.... as much as I like Quinn, I know far fetched when I see it.

Saul finally decided to pass on to Carrie the info she needs, while neither him nor Dar think to count just how many people knew about the Swiss debacle and give a polygraph to all of them. Spies should know that nobody is above suspicion, but for plot-convenience, nobody considers Allison as a possible candidate for betrayal.

The one incontrovertible truth was spoken by Carrie herself, saying she brings bad luck. You do indeed, girl: Brody ended up pretty badly; Quinn is repeatedly getting shot and beaten to a pulp; Saul is in deep trouble and even your dad is dead.
