Very cool to see a lightsaber fight, but you gotto know, having the highground does a lot if you are experience in fighting in it, which Obi Wan Kenobi probably was, there are different lightsaber stances, and Obi knows if he takes the high ground he will win, because he knows how Anakin Skywalker fights.
If an army is stationed on a hill but has no experience whatsoever fighting on a highground they will have no benefits from their position, which you can clearly see in this episode, that no one of them has any experience or swordstances fighting from a high ground, and in the movie the only way for Anakin to reach the shore or fall down in a lava waterfall he has to jump, its during this jump Obi knows that Anakin is defenceless, so he takes out his both legs.
