Emotive joy & sorrow... good, thought provoking television!!
icklemidgieproductions21 September 2016
I was in absolute tears.... This episode is highly emotive, various struggles and reality reminders throughout, but by the end I was inconsolable (rare thing for to to do this...a few episodes of the 10th doctor had this affect, nothing since) - very moving...

I know reviews haven't always been great, but it's a very different programme for many ppl. In UK and Scandinavia we are used to more such types of series/miniseries, and react well to them. I have no call for another season, sometimes a story "ever after" doesn't have to be played out - enjoy it for what it is!! hankies at the ready & see if you find yourself stocking up dried foodstuff just in case ;)

The most emotional episode to come ever air on TV
louischamoun185 July 2016
This episode is actually the 1st thing I've ever seen on TV that has brought me to tears. The acting, the writing and the arrangement were beyond perfect, and the rapport with Katie and Jake was truly believable (even if highly fictitious). The writing has a classy and genuine feel to it, which for American TV, is a rarity. But it's the hope, desperation and resilience to constantly drive forward and survive, that actually makes this show interesting. We constantly see the dystopian scenario in shows like The Walking Dead and Under The Dome, were mankind turn on one another, but in this show, there is always hope. Here's hoping that the bar that's been set, follows for the remaining episodes and for any future disaster dramas.

Cried SO hard

Warning: Spoilers
If a movie can get me emotional its a good movie, but a TV series?! Now Im impressed. I did feel it came too soon and that maybe directors should try to shy away from the books/previous show or movies sometimes and make it their own. Anyways! I love it please do not cancel and bring in more love interests. I found myself always waiting to see what happened between Kate and Jack. Waiting for their dreams to come true in the end and what obstacles they together could beat and become a happy family. Chris "Jack" is awesome in this series, believe or not I like him in Vampire Diaries too, but glad to see him on the good side of the story now. :0)

Clear blue water, high tide came and brought you in

Heartbreaking with the first sounds of Ryan Adams covering Taylor Swift's 'This Love'. The absolute highlight of the series, very well directed episode showing 2 stages of truthful love, from the perspective of the young love and the old love. Somehow by the end of the episode nothing else matters. I admit i watched the full series for a second time 2 or 3 weeks after seeing it initially. Watching the last scenes for the second time my impression was even stronger, because you don't expect to get so emotional. That's why when you hit by your inner self it is so hard to control it as you remember what's coming next. It's like living it again. Glad moving pictures have been invented so we can live through the moments like this one over and over again.
