Mark Wahlberg‘s daughter is growing up.
The Daddy’s Home 2 actor and father of four stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan Wednesday and dished a little about how his oldest child Ella, 14, once brought a young male visitor to dinner (who attended with his mom), but Wahlberg never saw him again after that night.
“It was one of those things where I was like, ‘Oh, this boy is really nice,’ and now he’s not around anymore — I don’t know what happened,” explained Wahlberg, 46.
“But I was not trying to intimidate him,” the star insists. “It had nothing to do with me.

It’s a cool February day in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a group of misfits are striding with purpose across the small town set of “Midnight, Texas.” Since the events of the shoot are for the series’ season finale, details can’t be divulged about the group’s purpose or destination yet, but what’s important is that they’re doing it as a team. With so many of vampire and supernatural shows ending in the past few years, the NBC series is looking to revitalize the genre with its emphasis on inclusion, not division.
From the author behind “True Blood,” comes “Midnight, Texas,” which shares more than a few hallmarks of HBO’s ultra racy vampire show. Besides featuring a mix of supernatural beings, including one sexy vampire main character, the NBC show is also inspired by author Charlaine Harris’ experiences with southern living. Well, Texan living, in this case.

Say what you want about last year’s Suicide Squad, but it made a boatload of money--$746 million worldwide to be exact. And with a $175 million budget, that’s a pretty darn good profit. Achieving such a huge box office haul is a doubly impressive feat considering it was savaged by critics before it was even released to the masses. People showed up regardless. Why many moviegoers ignored reviews is anyone’s guess, but it’s no surprise that WB has been looking to get another Suicide Squad to theaters within the next few years.

The introduction to the monologue noted that the awards ceremony features “all of the saddest topics and the happy actors who performed them.” Mulaney referred to “Moonlight” as “sad and beautiful,” but also turned the film into a punchline. “Basically the Spirit Awards are a secret handjob on the beach, but enough about ‘Moonlight,'” he said.
Kroll immediately skewered Gibson by saying, “We like to think of these awards as the ones without Mel Gibson. People wondered, how long would it take Hollywood to forgive someone for anti-semitic, racist hate speech. The answer? Eight years.”

The SAG Awards were last night, and though the red carpet was many things, you certainly couldn’t call it boring. Stars wore their activism on their sleeves (literally), opted for bold motifs including stripes, florals and “creature couture” over safe solid colors and experimented with colorful eye makeup and serious hair jewelry. With all that excitement, it was practically impossible to pick our favorite looks from the many major moments to choose from – but because we are serious about the business of best dressed, we soldiered on. Below, check out our picks for top looks of the night, which...

Ever since I first met Denzel Washington on the set of Spike Lee’s “Malcolm X,” I’ve felt comfortable with him. Fact is, I grew up in the film industry with Washington, along with Mel Gibson, Debra Winger, Bruce Willis, Kevin Costner, and John Travolta; we’re all close to the same age.

Welcome to chapter 4,535 of #OscarsSoWhite, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter: An Oscar voter named Rutanya Alda, a member of the Academy's actors branch, wrote a letter in defense of AMPAS' current voting practices. In it, she defends the Academy's historical appreciation of nonwhite performers with a variety of empty stats and uselessly vague anecdotes. Read the whole thing, but here we'll be responding to the grimmest portions of her plea. We begin with a shockingly assertive, wildly unnecessary claim: "Actors are the least racist people I have ever known in my life." Is this an actual talking point? Alda somehow ranked the racism within every profession in her social orbit, and -- without citing any sources -- came to the conclusion that the sprawlingly broad world of actors is unified in its lack of racism. That strikes me as a reach! I learned from the news once that Mel Gibson is a very racist person,...
