The amount of ice and snow on the windows of the Corvette changes between camera shots.
During the investigation of Jakob Ungerleider, the Colonel/Oberst mentions that Yuri Gurka is an exchange student from Ukraine. In 1988, an officer of the forces of the GDR/DDR would probably have said that Yuri Gurka is from the Soviet Union, which was the politically correct term at that time.
In the opening scene, the telephone on the Stasi officer's desk is a West German model (Fernsprechtischapparat, FeTAp 61). It should be the East German equivalent (Tischfernsprecher W 61).
The Meeker County sheriff announces that the Eden Valley police department is being taken over by the sheriff's department. Principle photography for the series has taken place in and around Calgary, Alberta.
After the bridge tournament, Ray and Nikki celebrate their finish as third runner-up, which Ray compares to the bronze medal at the Olympics. However, third runner-up is fourth place, as the first runner-up is second. Later at Nikki's apartment, there is a shot of a certificate that says "Third Place," so they did finish third, but were actually second runner-up.
