Great as epsiode. Poor as season opener

A lot of stuff is happening, we get some more scenes in Berlin, which is nice, and everybody gets his plot furthered a little bit. The pacing of the scenes is somewhat odd, especially compared to the first season. This season looks like to be more artsy and high budget, than the first. Hope this will mean improvements both in the plot and the main characters (Juliana, Frank and Joe) (the supporting cast is still somewhat phenomenal, Smith, Kido, Takomi are all great). The desing is still spectacular. I am in for this season 100%.

Getting better all the time!

I have rarely seen a show which has so many outstanding contributors. The acting is just sublime. I am also in love with Alexa Davolos' character. She is a quality actress. Also, a note about the editing. It doesn't fall into the cliched switch to another scene when timeline changes, it moves smoothly to update. Editing is a skill and The Man in the High Castle exhibits it supremely. Brilliant show,

Imagine a universe wherein everyone shows anger by smashing objects
imdb-451-71899514 May 2017
That's the universe this show transports us to. A universe where people simply don't know how to express anger without their possessions and/or windows shattering around them.

The bad writing and ho-hum acting (Smith exempted) plaguing this series show no signs of abetting in the second season.

For example, people who have dedicated their lives to following the Man in the High Castle's demands decide to contradict his orders. Why? Who knows. Plot, I guess? Tension? It makes little sense.

The episode definitely advances the plot and our understanding of the world, however. And if you are still watching, you are probably OK with that being all you get.
