The game was suppose to be co-produced with Sony Imagesoft for Sega CD. However, by the time the game was finished, Sony wasn't interested in Sega CD games anymore and reneged on the deal. They also refused to pay Stargate Films for their work on the game. With Sony's departure from the project, the game also lost it's publisher and was shelved for a while. Michael Thomasson from Good Deal Games got his hands on a review copy and loved it so much, he agreed to have his company licensed and finally release the game.
