The 14th edition of the Bollywood film festival opened with a great fanfare at the Lørenskog hus kino amongst the presence of eminent personalities from Norway like Mayor of Lørenskog Ragnhild Bergheim, sectary of the state Bård Folke Fredriksen, Himanshu Gulati and Indian Bureaucracy and stars from the Bollywood and Iranian Film Industry.
Amongst the highlights of this year were the presence of yesteryear Actress Zeenat Aman and upcoming actress Huma Qureshi as the guest of honour. Zeenat Aman was awarded for her lifetime contribution to Indian cinema. And her contributions to the cinematic world were also acknowledged in the form of a special stamp that was released on this occasion by the festival help from Postal Department. Huma Qureshi was awarded as the most promising upcoming Bollywood actress.

Continuing with our tradition of bringing Bollywood and International Cinema to Norway, this year the 14th edition of the Bollywood Festival was organised from 9th – 16th of September. Apart from having the main events at Lørenskog hus Kino, the movies have also been screened at Sf Kino Lillestrøm and Oslo Saga Kino in order to reach a wider audience.
