Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • The episode opens on a rescue mission with the Ghost crew breaking Hondo and an Ughnaut "associate" out of an Imperial prison. This involves much gunplay, and we see Ezra directly use his lightsaber on a number of Stormtroopers (though no graphic wounds are seen). Later in the sequence, the Ughnaut is humorously shot into the sky as a blaster cannon bolt hits him. Immediately after, Ezra uses the force to control the pilot of a walker into killing his comrades either by directly shooting them or running them off a high platform to their deaths, before then controlling the walker's pilot into committing suicide by walking his vehicle off the same platform. (This is depicted as Ezra's being corrupted by the influence of the Dark Side and not as any sort of heroic act.)
  • The attack on Reklam Station begins with a space battle between the Ghost crew and a number of Mining Guild fighters (leading to the Guild pilots' likely deaths), and includes Ezra suggesting destroying a disabled transport that was used to ferry the fighters so that there would be "no witnesses" (he's overruled). The fight continues at Reklam with a lengthy battle between the crew and a number of dismantler droids. Ezra confronts the Imperials in the control room, killing more troopers with his lightsaber (either using deflected blaster shots or again directly striking them, and again no visible wounds are shown). He threatens the life of Captain Titus, and ends up slashing a control panel that keeps the station in the air. The last sequence of the attack shows the station slowly disintegrating and a race against time for the Ghost Crew to complete their mission before dying. Ezra comes exceedingly close to being killed in this sequence.
  • Throughout the episode, Kanan has a large scar across his face from where Maul's lightsaber struck him in "Twilight of the Apprentice." His subplot is much less violent, though he does use a lightsaber in an aggressive pose against a number of spider-creatures (though no actual blows are struck).

Profanity

  • None, other than incidental use of the in-universe expletive "karabast"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Ezra's corruption subplot is played deadly seriously (including direct and obvious parallels to Anakin Skywalker's fall in the prequels) and so may be troubling to younger viewers who identify with the character.
  • The appearance of the Bendu, though ultimately a benign and "Tom Bombadil"-style creature, could be frightening to younger viewers.
