I like the character Hannah, but Maggie Q is such an underachieving actress. The character objective driven and straightforward, but Maggie Q is just so boring. No emotions, no inflections, no passion, nothing. I don't think she is a good actress.
They need a better actress for this character.

Warning: Spoilers
While the episode was a very good one, isn't President Kirkman practicing hypocrisy when he talks about transparency during his address to the nation, when he knows full well there is much more going on in the investigation regarding the murder of the Vice President?
Virginia Madsen shows that she is quite a shrew and a force that has to be reckoned with. Leaking of sensitive information by Aaron to her was outrageous but gives even more of a flavor to the never-ending plot.
Aaron has been ordered by the president to take a week off and come back invigorated. Will this leave be extended? Who did Aaron meet up with after leaving the White House?
The agent who lost his son was terrific in the episode. His portrayal of a devastated parent was riveting as you felt the emotion with him all the way.

Rob Morrow is great at playing smug, slimy characters in power roles. He does a great job as a journalist, writing for a teen magazine, getting down and dirty. The White House works to discredit him due to his shaky past. Meanwhile, the work goes on to fill cabinet positions--most importantly, Secretary of State. Kirkman balks a bit at a former one term President trying to influence things. Obviously, everyone has his or her agenda. Also, the family stuff gets a little tiresome. It was heart rending to see the poor FBI guy in his current state after the death of his son. He seemed to have lost hope.
Slightly back to normal.

Rob morrow everyone. This episode is quite the letdown from the previous one. The kirkmans don't convince anyone, especially the wife. And the drama seems to be neglected. I sure feel sorry for the loss of Luke but it's not being played convincingly. Rob morrow from numbers is a new player here and he's doing well. As opposed to the former journalist trying to push kal to his limits. Kal by the way is as always performing well and his character is one you can trust. A bit distracted but surely to the point.
I know this show isn't west wing or homeland or Nikita or house of cards. But why the differing suspense levels between episodes. Considering what's happening in episode 15 this is a letdown or walkover or whatever.
