Cool, Cooler, Coolest SWAGmoto!
CyrilMartin17 April 2021
If you want to watch a cool character doing his swag moves in a stylish manner with precise technique and add ons like meaning and message then this is the anime you're looking for.

The story is about a high school boy Sakamoto who is the coolest guy ever and is stylish in every way possible. As it should be all the students especially girls are simps for him. Some guys and especially delinquents often stir up to him to see what's so special about him. Sakamoto will always remain stylish despite being in unfavorable situations most of the time. The episodes are in a linear manner with a good ending.

The directing, artwork, opening, and ending music were some of the best and was spot on. It got cool characters but barring Sakamoto, the characters were somewhat cliche. The plot is not of utmost importance here, the comedy was not hysterical but was smart. Overall a cool anime.

Perfection was never so fun

Warning: Spoilers
Sakamoto is perfect, that is, tasks, work, loyalty, vision, etiquette, sports, etc. If you know how to do something well, Sakamoto will make it perfect. And under that scoop, every day at school is a day of adventure with Sakamoto. A very funny anime, one to hang out. It is nothing transcendental, but still after days, it makes you remember certain passages. That's Sakamoto.

A superb short anime. I don't understand how it's rated so low.

This is a somewhat subtle comedy in the sense that if you miss a joke, you'll never know. Everything can be taken as 100% serious, so I suppose if someone is into the humor of The Three Stooges, this is not the show for them. The show is of course not about Sakamoto, nor about perfect people. It is about the way we all react to those who we think are superior to us, from trying to put them down, through grupie admiration, and finally holding your own and finding the things in which you are actually better than those perfect cool-cooler-coolest folk. I found the show to be uplifting, entertaining, compationate and deeply perceptive. But again, if you're looking for the roaring-up-in-laughter variety of humor, keep looking. And, yes. Don't watch the OVA.

Kind of boring

It's good but not to me. Though I was enjoying at first but I got bored after 6 episodes. Some might like it but it's not for me.

A show about pride

Another great show. In my opinion, this show is well worth the watch. It is short and digestible without too many episodes. The art style and tone are similar to Uzumaki's comics about the spiral. Loved especially Sakamoto's speech at the end about making choices and confidence. There isn't really that much of an arc going on, the show centers around the mannerisms of a highly cool and defined man. I think Sakamoto serves as a great example of the "perfect fictional student". Not sure there are a lot of other competitors to this anime, it is quite unique and there isn't much out there I've seen like it.

Not the best but its ok enough

Warning: Spoilers
Sakamoto does remind you of some classmate that you wouldn't want to have. They kinda made the character overrated which as they say is like a "fan service" type. I'm not surprised they solely concentrated on him as just the main character but honestly they should have really added in more characters on the anime. It honestly didnt have to be Sakamoto being the "champ" the whole time but what about a person who isn't perfect at what they are doing? Because realistically, thats how we all are, we aren't perfect at everything we do here lol!

The anime should've even concentrated on the blond fella who wishes to be a model but it appears no one wants to care about him since he is plus size. They really shouldve given that type of character some guidance and support. This also includes the delinquents who did try to kidnap Sakamoto from the very beginning.

I think if this anime overall concentrated on adding more characters, then I would give it a 8 or a 9 rating but I have to give it a 5/10 . I did like the humour though!
