When I was a kid, "Teknoman" was one of my favorite shows.
Despite the censorship, the plot was still undeniably dark and dramatic, with the main hero having to fight against his own family after they were brainwashed by the evil alien villains. In addition to that, the hero himself was also in fear of losing his own humanity due the alien influence on him which was the source of his powers.
This short made me feel the same excitement I had watching that series as a kid, and has motivated me to revisit it. It has an amazing animation with more intense, gorier violence, and a more horror-like depiction of the transformations: While still recognizable, the hero here looks a bit more like an alien monster rather than a robot like in the original show.
And it works very well.
Makes me miss the amazing style Japanese animations used to have back then in the 90s. There is still some good stuff, but it was during this era when the medium was at top of its game.
If you liked Teknoman, this is definately a must-see.
