I must confess I have mixed feelings towards the visual style used here, which basically adds a filter to real-life photos in order to make them look like comic book illustrations.
Sometimes, the results are convincing, but there are also several instances where the scenes are depicted in a cheap and ugly-looking manner.
Fortunately, the plot is good enough to keep my interest from beginning to end disregard of any kind of technical limitation, with a very Lovecraftian type of story (To the point it even a character very similarly named to Cthulhu) done in the usual style King uses for most of its stories.
Definitely worth-watching if you are a fan of Stephen King who doesn't mind limited animation.
