The Mothma prophecies

Plot; When Senator Mon Mothma takes to the Senate floor to call attention to the Emperor's cruelty, she sets herself up as a target of the Empire, and as a symbol of hope for the fledgling and divided Rebel Alliance.

Tight focus and some solid dogfighting action highlight this look at future Alliance leader Mon Mothma publicly challenging the Emperor and making a plea for unity among the various rebel factions. - 7/10 - It was just announced that Rebels was renewed for a fourth season.

• Actress Genevieve O'Reilly, who played Mon Mothma in Rogue One (and deleted scenes from Revenge of the Sith) guest stars as Mothma in this episode).

Pretty good

"Pretty good" is the best way to put it. Having watched this just after the previous episode, I felt it wasn't nearly as good. It felt just a little rushed and some of the editing felt weird in a couple of spots.

Still, it's pretty well done and necessary to the whole show and Rebellion as a whole. It isn't perfect, but it's good to see Mon Mothma again and I'm sure her appearance in that Andor series will be crucial and possibly play in to where this one picked up! Also, Ezra flying a Y-wing was very satisfying (and hopefully a foreshadow!).

Not one of favorites in the show, but it was still a lot of fun.

Secret Cargo

I was wondering when Mon Mothma was going to enter the stage. She is one of the leading figure of the rebellion in the original trilogy (or, at least in "Return of the Jedi") and I thought she would appear at some point, even though I have predicted an earlier appearance. However, they decided to introduce her now, and luckily, they did it in a fun fashion. I didn't ever think that anybody were in danger, and I felt like the premise of the episode might have been a bit stredged out, but I was never bored and I did find the episode to be very exciting. It had an impact on the narrative, because we know that she is vital to the rebellion. Also, it would seem that they are a much bigger rebellion after this episode, with an ending that could have also been a little more fluent. There are some flaws to this episode, but in the end, not enough to make it bad or unnecessary. I didn't think it had to be an entire episode solely dedicated to her re-introduction into the galaxy, but if it had to be, I'm glad that it was at least an episode that could offer up a good dose of action and some nice quiet moments as well.

Pure Star Wars

This episode was joyous.

It just has that Star Wars magic. Escapism at its finest. Really great action with nice animation. Cool characters including the important inclusion of Mon Mothma finally coming to the fore in the rebellion.

The space battles and battle of wits between villains and heroes makes fantastic entertainment. The episode also has great heart and warmth that along with the excitement and spectacle took me back to being a little kid watching the first Star Wars.

All that made it a perfect episode to launch the real fruition of the Rebel Alliance. It gave me goosebumps as Mon Mothma clearly made links through to the original trilogy. This was a real plot development in the overall arc.

We also get to see Ezra flying a Y Wing in battle which was cool.

My rating: 9.5/10

It's a great Rebels episode, from the best of Rebels' four seasons.
